We are seeded in pot 1 if we progress through the qualifying round. Inter Milan and Arsenal also have to qualify.

Blimey pot 2 looks a bit of a stinker, must be the strongest it's been for a while. But maybe thats a reflection of how there's more dangerous teams in the CL than there used to be.

 

It's on loan, we'll bring it back home ;)

anyone explain how these are worked out? strange to see inter in pot 1 but not the likes of bayern, lyon, maybe even PSV.

It's done accoring to how far clubs have gone in European competitions over the past 5 years. There is nothing dodgy about how it's done it's a completely fair and transparent system.

Just looking at that, how did Newcastle get more points in 04/05 than the beaten CL semi-finalists Chelsea?

 

They didn't get extra points for playing so many Intertoto games did they?
