Apparently we have 3.1 millions fans in britain alone. These figures do not mention liverpools worldwide fan base, which again dwarfs everyone elses apart from Man Utd

Three times more british fans than Newcastle (53,000 capacity)

Five times more than Villa (42,573 capacity)

Four times more than Man City (48,000)

Over ten times more than Sunderland (49,000)

15% more than Arsenal (60,000)

5 times more than Everton (40,569)

More than twice as many as Chelsea (42,522)

More than twice as many as Celtic (60,982)

More than twice as many as Rangers (50,549)

With us starting to get even more popular afer Istanbul and Cardiff, with a 10 year season ticket waiting list.

Remind me again, why we should not build a 60,000 seater staduim ?

We'll fill it easy. Especially if Rafa is still here and we're winning stuff. Plus all locals will come back in their droves as it will be less hassle getting a ticket.

Surprised at those figures, thought it would be higher.

we are way ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal is in worldwide fan base, these figures where just british fan base

I actually think we could go much, much bigger than 60, and with decent pricing, fill it every week. The higher up people are the cheaper the ticket. Cheap deals for local kids. You could still have your hardcore of STH's and have plenty of corporate boxes, but make the ticketing policy a bit radical. Make some tickets priced where working people can afford them. You can keep the Sky generation fans and bring back the thousands that used to pack the Kop. The appetite in Liverpool alone is there.

I personally think we are missing a great opportunity with the new design. We could have been a lot more creative.

How many people are actually on the "10 year" waiting list for season tickets?

The turnover of season tickets is about 45 per season so that means there are 450 on the waiting list...

It's more the fact it can't be expanded that I find strange. Sure 60,000 is good for now, but if we want more will we have to move again? £200m is a lot for non-expandable stadia.

i think im actually on the waiting list, there was an option on the fancard ticket application this year for it, so i ticked the box

i figure it`ll be cheaper to travel by plane and boat in 10 years, well ,i hope so anyway :D

Believe we're up to 27,000 now!! I guess some will already have access to tickets and some may not be able to afford when offered but that's still a lot of people!
