Last night's game had the most baffling (non) decision I've seen in a long time. Late second half, Kuyt knocks the ball past Cole who subsequently carves him up. Obvious foul, and pretty much a stuck-on yellow card. The linesman, standing five fecking yards away, with a clear view and perfect angle on the incident, gives nothing. Bizarre. -

He's had constant back problems throughout his career. I think the worries are that they appear to have been getting worse over the last 2 years or so. Maybe worth a gamble, but Barcelona are asking for £16M aren't they? -
Nope, Gerrard. Hounded the defender into miss-placing a pass, then got it back to set up Torres. Perfect example of why having players that are willing to actually run about a bit is quite a useful thing to have in team.

Defender definitely didn't get the ball. -
Well the second "appeal" obviously wasn't a penalty as it was outside the box - clearly a foul though. Thought the block by Samba in the 2nd half looked pretty clear-cut as well.
