Very sad that King Kenny has left once more. On reflection I am grateful that we got King Kenny back as manager. It was a real buzz at times having him back, something I never thought I'd witness again. And let's not forget he won us our first trophy in six years... even in so called "failure" the great man has come through for us. I still thinks his 2nd spell may be re-evaluated in time. If with a couple of additions we do well next season and build on the cup we won I think Kenny will be seen as the builder of those foundations. YNWA Kenny... you'll always have a place in out hearts.
I never said I wasn't enjoying it or that people shouldn't... it's just such a contrast to when I was a kid and we were winning everything in site. Meh maybe I'm getting old
Obviously qualifying for CL is great for footballing and business reasons but if we were to do it at the expense of Chelsea and Nandos... well the words "cake", "icing" and "on" spring to mind
Don't think so mate, I think HMRC were trying to appoint their own administrators due to previous football related administrations leaving HMRC bottom of the creditors list.
Can we not just have all the money that our new marketing deals bring in without the corporate interference? This would never have happened under Moores and Parry!
Honestly I expect this to be a non story within a week or at the latest by the time we win the league cup, which hopefully will be used as part of a worldwide marketing drive. The story will obviously develop legs again next time we play the mancs but I expect there will no no repeats of this weekend. On reflection this was always going to be a fight we couldn't win with the media falling over themselves to create a s*** storm, the inevitable outcome was always going to be the owners telling all involved to back down. We probably should have realised this from the off and played it accordingly but you live and learn.
So basically this whole case hinged on the an interview Harry gave to the NOTW? I'd lie to them c****. Nice to see our taxes been spent so wisely, i wonder how much the case cost to mount... more than the figures involved i bet
maybe I should resist posting on a monday with a hangover from hell Seriously though there seems to be so little patience in football these days, from owners and fans alike...
I seem to remember Rushie never recapturing his best goal scoring form after coming back from Juventus. I was quite young at the time so I could be talking out me a***
They've closed down the poll now http://www.skysports.com/poll/results/0,19911,12782_308666_308666,00.html This stinks, Suarez was going to run away with it
First sensible article I've read since the verdict was announced http://www.dailypost.co.uk/sport-news/liverpool-fc/2011/12/23/comment-luis-suarez-has-been-sacrificed-in-the-fa-s-battle-with-sepp-blatter-55578-30000306/
I lived in Colombia for a year when i was younger and calling someone "negro" is no different to blondie or jock etc. In fact even between my dads brothers and sisters where some were of a darker complexion than others they would get referred to as negra or negro. It's just the way it is.
Surely if Evra has admitted to saying "don't touch me you South American" at the hearing he has himself broken the FA's rule "a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race " ? I can see LFC really pushing this if the verdict stands after appeal, in fact they need to.
