On the whole Agger thing, I'm really finding it difficult to believe the FSG are willing to piss off Rodger's by taking the final decision on any transfer away from him. He was very specific about having the final say, to the point that he refused to work under a DOF. Add to that the fact they want to get rid of one of the most popular and talented members of our squad, consequently risking a PR disaster with the fans and well media in general. It really would not bode well for the future or Rodger's desire to stay with us long term if this type of thing becomes a regular occurrence. Hopefully at the very worst they are just heavily hinting that they want to sell but leaving the final decision to the manager.

Absolutely. There are a number of reasons other than FSG being incompetent / naive etc which some people seem to be convinced is the case. I mean it could still be the latter but I won;t be jumping to that conclusion until it becomes an obvious pattern.

As always thanks for your updates mate. Has Gylfi actually spoken to Rodger yet formally, do you know? Or has everything been at the agent level so far? If so I'm assuming that the "Rodge" effect wasn't sufficient to offset the dollar signs in his eyes.
