Someone like Bellamy must look at him and shake his head. The thing that f***s me off about Downing as he has pace but refuses to use it and take his man on. Look at Bellamy, when he gets the ball out wide he is up to full pelt in about two steps, his only instinct is to try and skin his man. Obviously he won't do it every time but Downing is a total s***house in that regard, always content with the handy pass, sideways or back.
