Apologies if already posted http://www.gq-magazi...man-of-the-year Daniel Craig Selecting his Man Of The Year Who would be your Man Of The Year? "F*** I'd wish you'd asked me that earlier. I could have given it some serious thought. I don't know yet. Kenny Dalglish is my Man Of The Year every year. How do I think they'll line up [this season]? There's positive talk about fourth place and Dalglish thinks we can do better than that. I believe him."

Unfortunately they are about to add Modric and Mata.

Carra needs to stop hoofing it to him too.

The Times Matt Hughes Luis Suarez compounded Arsenal's miserable start to the season with a goal and an assist that condemned them to a 2-0 home defeat. Arsene Wenger is often accused of fostering a paranoid belief that the world is against him, but even Sir Alex Ferguson must have felt sorrow for his great rival on this occasion such was extent that the fates appeared to be pitted against him. Just about everything that could go wrong for Arsenal did go wrong, other than the surprise appearance of Samir Nasri, who did little to suggest that he is a £23 million player in the making. Arsenal lost Laurent Koscielny to a knee injury in the fifteenth minute and had to cope with the dismissal of Emmanuel Frimpong in the 71st, indignities that were compounded by the concession of two late goals they scarcely deserved. Aaron Ramsey knew nothing about the 78th-minute clearance from Ignasi Miquel he diverted into his own net, but Arsenal's suffering was not complete until Luiz Suarez had added a second in the 90th minute from an offside position. Wenger had sprung a major surprise by starting with Nasri in midfield, a shock move which led to suggestions that negotiations with Manchester City have broken down and he could yet remain at the club. The French midfield player was booed by a vocal minority when his name was read out prior to kick off, but by the 36th minute he had even his fiercest critics off their seats when he ran from his own penalty area to the edge of the opposition's before shooting narrowly wide of goal. There are few people in life as fickle as football fans. By that stage Arsenal fans had more on their minds than indulging their penchant for pantomime, as their injury-hit squad had become further depleted, and at the point of their greatest vulnerability at that. Koscielny limped off with a knee injury sustained as he landed awkwardly to take Arsenal's injury problems beyond the realms of a crisis into the catastrophic. The French defender was replaced by Miquel, a 19-year-old Spaniard making his Premier League appearance, adding further inexperience to a side already featuring two full debutants in Carl Jenkinson and Frimpong. As a consequence Liverpool unsurprisingly controlled the first half – particularly after Koscielny's substitution – and were frustrated at being unable to make their dominance tell. Andy Carroll and Jordan Henderson both brought good saves from Wojciech Szczesny with headers, but Arsenal remained largely comfortable and created several opportunities themselves on the counter-attack, with Nasri and Frimpong both going close with long-range shots. Arsenal had spurned the best chance of the second half when Robin Van Persie shot straight at Jose Reina at the near post, but their daunting task became even tougher in the 71st minute when Frimpong was sent off for receiving a second booking. While Frimpong's first caution was unfortunate as it followed the innocuous offence of squaring up to Dirk Kuyt in the first half, it was difficult to argue with referee Martin Atkinson's decision to hand out the second, as he caught Lucas with a late challenge that caused the Brazilian to tumble over head first as if he had been spear-tackled by a rugby player. Arsenal's misfortune reached its nadir seven minutes later when Liverpool took the lead through an own-goal so unlucky for the home side it seemed an affront to natural justice. Luiz Suarez' s invention had immediately given Liverpool extra spark following his introduction six minutes earlier, and it is doubtful whether he needed such a helping hand. The Uruguayan had linked well with fellow substitute Raul Meireles down the right, and then watched open mouthed as Ignasi's clearance was deflected into his own net by the unfortunate Ramsey. Suarez provided a further demonstration of his quality in added time with a neat finish, although once again had the benefit of being in an offside position when Lucas played the initial ball through to Meireles. Liverpool rode their luck to claim a first away win in these parts for 11 years, but Arsenal must cling to the hope that their ill-fortune changes sooner rather than later. Their season-defining trip to Udinese on Wednesday would be as good a place as any. Post-match reaction Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool manager: "Obviously we are delighted. It is a very difficult place to come that everyone knows about. We knew anyone that they did play would stand up for them and play well. "I thought it was a fantastic game of football. We are delighted to have won, we probably just about deserved it. We never lost a goal, which is good for a start. "We know what the boys are capable of and it is just about getting them trained to play that way. "They [the club's new signings] have got the first game out of the way and they know the size of the football club and what they have come for. If that is an indication of how quickly they have settled we have a lot to look forward to." Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager: "I believe that the result was harsh on the quality of our game. You cannot say that at the moment we are having luck. I believe the goal was offside and it is absolutely scandalous that every single decision in the last three or four months [haHe s gone against us]. It looks like both goals were offside. The referees are [supposed to be] professional. It's difficult to accept that. It's difficult enough to play with ten men. "I feel under pressure but not more than usual. I feel the result was harsh on us. The offside goal decided the game. "Frimpong was a victim of his inexperience. He has a big heart. We had eight players out, but we had a good performance." Asked about reports that Nasri's move to Manchester City has collapsed, Wenger said: "I don't know. With the effort we put in, I don't think we deserved to lose that game. The biggest problem is to lift the team and prepare for Wednesday night and if Samir can be with us it's even better."

Times have something similar, "Arsenal conceded two late goals, which they didn't deserve to" etc.
