Two years ago I might have said Yes, but now. Absolutely not. I really think he's close to something despite how it seems at present. No for me.
-
Have been quite impressed by him but noticed one thing. When he's chasing an over the top ball, he tends to almost let the defender get ahead of him then choose to always try and run around the outside of him. Sure, it'll work every now and again but I noticed a few times he could have tried his luck, in what I would have assumed was the better position on the defenders inside. But then again. I'm not 20 and playing and scoring goals for Liverpool. Hope he keeps it up.

I agree with what you're saying, but in fairness we can't truely expect him to perform consdiering he doesn't even get reserve games. that's why I think a loan or at least a run in the reserves would benefit him, although I do agree we could screw ourselves if anything happened Reina. He badly needs a few matches though for morale if nothing else. He equipped himself well I though last night though. And to be honest I think he'd easily go into a few Premiership first teams.

Watching the match last night, I was just wondering what life would be like should Reina get injured and I thought excuse the pun, we'd be in safe hands with Cavalieri. He looked rusty but I though he had everything a top keeper would need to at least keep the ship afloat in Reina's absence. Ideally a one or two month loan to a premiership side would beenfit us if any clubs needed a goalie. I just think he needs games and at the moment unless Riena gets injured it simply isn't going to happen.

2010 WC Qualification
Scaryscouse replied to Dominus Maximus 's topic in General Football Discussion
Just got sent this by a mate in a mail. I think it sums up the feelings typically about our match against the french I WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNT IT and no over payed pampered Gallic fancy dan conventionally handsome b*st*rds will take it away from me. Well conventionally handsome up to Franck Ribery. Franck, unusual spelling isn't it. Even on paper you can tell theres something off there. It like they've spelled it that way so even the act of reading his name sets off alarm bell. So you'd be saying to tourself, 'ck? is that a mistake? This publication looks official would they allow such an oversight? Surely not. Is it a French thing? Hmmmmm............All this I reakon was contrived by the sisters of mercy when they relised that the child rescued from the clutches Dr. Frankenstein had a prodigious football they could no longer keep him from the outside world. 'Mispell the name' said Madame Clairmount 'it will be the childs cushion against the world' the reasoning being that the mishapen name would help in some conconscious level to prepare the unsuspecting public for the boys horribly mishapen face. Lucky for Franck that he found such kindness in another time the baby, or the amalgamation of infant pieces, that the sisters found in the Chateau's basement lab would never have survived the exorcism. I may be way off base with this. But if I am not, and there is a wealth of imaginary evidence to support my theory, we must ask ourselves why the FAI did not search high and low to find out if Franck Ribery was at least part Irish? -
Just the Guardian and The Observer for me (was excellent this week). I just read the net during the week. Can't always get them over here in Ireland so would sometimes grab the sunday times and the sunday mirror for thrashy reading plus my mate writes for them.

Hope that doesn't come across as a criticism as the current squad doing very well. I just feel those games where we had no Nando most of those draws could have been converted to wins. Obviously a few others do as well. Also I know he's had one or two problems recently but I think all ths stuff about his temperament is blown way out of proportion. He's not on the scale of Bellamy or Anelka moving from club to club causing trouble wherever they go. I could be completely wrong about that and would happily stand corrected if so, but has he reeally had an attitude that stank the place out entirely consistently?

I'm just thinking if we'd had Eto'o instead of Keane this season even with the injuries we'd be a few points clear by now. I was a Keane fan and wanted him to do well, but there's no comparison between the two. If Eto'o is available amd hints he wants to come we should be all over him like white on rice. I can't believe how anybody doesn't think signing him is a good idea the guy is class, and if it's £12 million blips it's a steal.

Bar the one silly yellow card that he should have known better I thought he was our best player next to Skrtel. If this guy was a young lad coming through the ranks he'd be afforded far more patience. Give him time I can see a vast improvement in him compared to last year. I'll get shot for this but, his form is better than Mascherano's has been for quite a while now. Silly yellow card, but he'll learn give him a break.

Fantastic thing to do, but isn't it heartbreaking to look at the poor little fella in the last picture? The blonde nurse in the middle....ahem

If we were to make one signing in January who would you go for?
Scaryscouse replied to Iver's topic in Liverpool FC
I know actually this is the second city player I've named but also I wonder how much Daniel Sturridge could be picked up for? -
