You're nearly always bound to catch any Liverpool game in Roddy Bolands in Rathmines. Missed one game last year and it was the last one of the season. Always tons of Liverpool fans aswell.

I've always thought the old saying of "your best 11, isn't your best team" was quite spot on. Erikson in particular could have given a bit of thought to that one. Unfortunately for me Staunton takes it a bit too far. Sorry, someone came into the office and had to post that without finishing. I've had some painful moments watching liverpool throughout the years. But I honestly believe on the 25/05/05 made all disillusionment vanish. So what I've learned is that no matter how many years of rubbish you put up with, one night could make it all worth while.

The really scary thing about that show is that it has catapulted Sean St Ledger into the Ireland team. I know he has since moved on by the way but his performances have been equally terrible.

A friend of mine was at that game with his old man, about four rows from where it happened. They claimed at that time that he was notstruck on the head but merely patted on the top of his head. Albeit in a smart a**e manner. While it would wind you up it doesn't warrant spitting. Now these guys are regulars to Celtic park, but even more so to Anfield as they are die hard Liverpool fans first and formost.So, I didn't really know what to believe all the same. Subsequent behaviour from Diouf has led me to believe that maybe he wasn't t****** like I wanted to believe at the time as he reacts terribly to little or no provocation. My mate and his old man, to this day swear he blew his top over nothing and were ashamed by his behaviour that night. So, I stand by my earlier comment. He was gone in my eyes.

Actually thought that was a scummy reaction aswell but one thing it was a reaction to an action. If someone threw a coin at my head I'd throw it back too.
