Tommok

Probably for the best - the universe probably couldn't cope with Isak, Gakpo and Wirtz playing well together

Well I've been clear in saying I don't think he's got great ability but yeah I'd say it's harsh to say he doesn't even have "average" defensive ability. As I say he's deffo not anywhere close to the perfect solution at DM but I'd say he'd almost certainly be better at protecting the back four than the current versions of Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai. As we're paying him around £100k a week anyway, it might be worth giving him a go at some point.

Yet the best manager we've had in a generation did like him and trust him. He's clearly not the level we need but he's better than Conrad and you are implying and given the paucity of options he's maybe worth a go when we're protecting a lead (we might actually have one at some point).

I think you've maybe forgotten what Endo was like when fit. He's certainly not a worldie but he can certainly run and he can tackle. The latter skill is sorely lacking in our other midfield options. We deffo should've bought better in one of the last few transfer windows.

So yeah they must think Ekitike and Bradley will be available before then. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cwyz65nkre2o

Can you change the CL squad at any point mid season? Ah I see you can add 3 players if you reach the knockout stages with a deadline of 4th Feb

Well done for always rising above it

Yeah he dicked us around re the new contract and kept saying rubbish like "it's very close" - don't think he ever had any intention of signing it and the only question was if Real were going to remain interested given how s*** he was playing.

I can't read it - what's it say? Edit: Oh they've got a drive in cinema in their car park!? And nobody can see it, not just me

Oh noo - that's when we were due to have "a big summer of transfer activity"... Ah well I guess we'll just have to wait until the January 2028 window then. The Euros in 2028 rule out us being able to do anything in the the summer window of course.

I'm always confused by this stuff. Does Hughes pay journos out of his own pocket to write this sort of thing?

Very early to say but Araujo does look solid - both in style of play and physique! €55m is the option fee isn't it?

Well it'll be a different lot doing the deals for us by then. Surely can't be worse than Hughes. I'm sure we'll get fed the same daft lines by their mouth pieces in the media tho.

Yeah and he should in theory get loads of chances like that with Barcola loading the bullets for him

He's talking merde as per usual. Barcola has been training with PSG and said himself he's been working hard on keeping fit all summer. Friday might be a bit soon for him but should be in the squad for the Atletico game next Weds or certainly the Fulham game a week on Saturday?

So we waited until the end of the window because "that's where the value is"....then we pack up shop early as soon as we've completed signing the player we've been negotiating for since the start of the window Totally mugging us off our "transfer experts" aren't they?

Managing Chelsea is like a real life version of a football management sim. The playing football thing is a slight distraction from the transfer activity. I wonder how much direct say Alonso has on the transfer side of things tho.

So the big window that Slot referred to us having wasn't that big was it? Our right hand side looks pretty bleak both in terms of RB and RW Let's hope Isak stays fit all season too A CM would be utopia at this point too
