So is Jacquet going to be able to play at the weekend?

Previously linked with Arsenal too I think

Probably not the time but this sentence on its own is crying out for a... I prefer...

That's probably still preferable to a cold rainy night in Stoke

I have a slight concern that other than maybe us, Utd and Spurs there's not going to be much appetite for nailing City to the wall

Premier League rules do allow state-owned bodies to sponsor clubs. Not sure that helps City entirely here tho because of the nature of the investment and the attempts to hide/lie about it?

*Insert Kenneth Williams gif*?

Yeah, altho annoyingly they're a shining example of how cheating can work - their trophy haul since the Abu Dhabi takeover is ridiculous. Obviously it's all tarnished to f*** but they've won loads. I'd also say it's the PL that have really f***ed up. They've allowed 8 PL titles to be sullied.

Well yeah the beef clearly isn't with Isak or Gakpo for being injured, it's that there's so little adequate cover. Actually, in the case of the right wing, it's not just cover - we don't have a right winger. We knew Isak was pretty prone to injury and so not getting some striker cover in the summer - with the absence of Ekitike - was madness.

So Gakpo and Isak both injured. Our options for a striker and right winger could be a bit limited. Who'd have thunk that was possible after the wonderful efforts of Hughes and our transfer team this summer (and in January)

Hard to imagine anyone who wouldn't benefit from that..

Real Madrid have already told him to run down his contract

Not sure there is at the moment. Gravenberch has been terrible too. Think it probably should be Szoboszlai who gets the number 10 position from Wirtz if anyone.

I'd generally like us to try the ball over the top - for Barcola or Isak to run on to - more often than we do. Jacquet seems to be very good at an early through ball forward and VVD used to ping it forward and wide to great effect for Salah (and Mane)

Pass to him early when he's got clear space to run into. He's not getting as many chances to utilise his pace as he should have done yet.

Our best player and best new signing this season so far

Hopefully Jurgen works his magic on him

Our kit looked very nice today

Oh joy, we've got Carragher on comms...
