  1. Who gives a toss if he is or isn't a better player than Hamman. Hamman was quality. Masch is quality, now. This was one very astute signing by Rafa and yet another player along with several other signings, that gets me excited about our future. The only concern we should have is regarding the renewal or extension of Masch's contract. As usual these threads always result in talk about Gerrard and his positioning. What many probably don't realise is that LFC tend to perform better as a unit when he is injured. Gerrard can be a fantastic player but LFC is much more than one player and if he had left to join the Chavscum then maybe people would have realised that he is not Liverpool Football club, all on his own. When he is good he is very very good but when he is bad, he may as well be on the bench. I get sick of hearing all these so called experts on the game saying that he should play here or there, Rafa knows exactly what he is doing and if Stevie was concerned, he would have been offski before now. Also as a throw away statement. Peter Crouch should shut the f**k up. Talks total b******s and to anyone that will report it badly. He's either very thick or angling to leave. It is not the LFC way. Rant, rant, rant...

  4. It's the Daily Mail ffs. Not much less full of sh*t than the S*n. If this was a major story then all the papers would be carrying it. It is after all news from Monday and it is not as if everyone else is jumping on it as a story of note.

    Voronin

2 pages. Awesome. Will leave thread alone now but expect to see it bumped once Voronin starts banging them in.

    Voronin

Not many talking about Voronin and when threads get started they tend to fizzle out fairly quickly. I am going to put a bet on him being the premierships highest scorer come end of season. Best LFC freebee for a long time. Feeling very good about the direction the club is heading. Have been feeling better each season Rafa has been in charge but for the first time in years i have a permanent grin when I think of what is happening. Suppose there is plenty of time for it all to go pear shaped but I'll carry on smiling until it does. One Happy Dog.
  7. His main problem is that he always seems to climb all over the opposition conceding a free kick. It is bloody annoying. For a bloke as tall as him, it really is unnecessary, especially as he has the beating of most of them anyway. He also seems to find it difficult to do the direct play, always holding play up and looking to bring someone else in, i.e. not selfish enough when it counts.
  8. Don't believe it until it happens. Tevez is and has also been linked with the following, all claiming they are in with a shout. LFC MUFC Chelsea Arsenal Portsmouth Bolton Marseille Corinthians AC Milan Sevilla Real Madrid Inter Milan To name but a few. It's definately silly season with the press and media.
  9. It's kinda painful. Formation boll*x I rest my case.
  10. I think it is superb that no one has a clue who we are really linked with and which are the red herrings. The media is so out of the loop now that even fairly LFC neutral papers are resorting to writing rubbish about rifts within the club and those that already hate us are having a fantasy field day. The main players forming the backbone of the club have extended their contracts. The new owners ages ago said that they would back whatever Rafa required, knowing that Rafa is a shrewd businessman and in no way would take the piss with his purchases. The club announcement is that we should stay calm regarding transfers. I reckon that all the deals Rafa wants to do are already done and dusted. We have just not had any announcements yet. I'm calm. At the moment.
  11. Torres, Tevez, Queresma, Mancini and possibly one other as a surprise
  12. Absolutely nothing to do with LFC. Sensationalist media reporting again and again and again...
  13. Err. Err. Oh yeah. GOALS
  14. Because many are thick, bored, kids, football manager players on a computer consoles, etc... Lets face it, again over a hundred pages on the transfer thread and none of them actually say anything and this is the second time the transfer thread has been started since Athens. I used to try and keep up with it just in case there was something worth reading but it is the same nonsense from armchair managers without a financial or footballing clue every day. Why these people always believe the speculative nonsense from the media astounds me. It must really frustrate the decent posters to see a good post totally b****xed by the drivel that gets posted in response. It will get worse too. Once we have completed any signings, there will be the usual plefora of posts with neatly arranged team layouts of how those individuals see the team lineup and each players position and how it would work. The club has returned to the old way of doing things. We, the supporters will not know a great deal about anything until it is actually happening and too late for another club to scupper it. I, for one, have stopped reading the nonsense and will wait for the clubs official announcements.
  15. Thank you. I second that. I need to invent a device that allows you to shoot people over the internet.
  16. It is an agreement in principle. Anderson and Nani are NOT signed. Liverpool had the same agreement in principle for Ronaldo and Vidic. We did not sign them though and the scum bought them for at least 3 times the amount we offered for them. Ronaldo was about £12million if I remember correctly. Some of you people should stop having such knee jerk reactions and if you are going to state things as a basis for a discussion, at least get your facts right first. If you really want something to get upset about, one of our targets, Quaresma , and he is a much better all round player than the two above, is on Chelskis' wanted list.
  17. Rafa already knows who he wants. It was discussed with the new owners some time ago now. The new owners have already given Rafa their backing and I reckon some of the new deals are already practically done. No good throwing speculative figures around like £40 million. Rafa will get who he needs and you can guarantee that they will not be extortionately priced at media quoted figures. Rafa will not have said anything that was not already planned. If wrong, then we really are in trouble.
  18. Amazes me the ego of the bloke and of some other England players. What the hell makes them believe that they have a God given right to be in the team? It is this mentality that has also been nurtured by previous England managers which is the reason England will never progress past the hope level as an international side.
  19. I agree. Kewell has by no means got a guaranteed place in the line up. Great to have him back but one reserve team game does not mean he is completely match fit and the better option for the final. If he plays at the weekend and has a blinder then maybe that will change.
  20. Abromovich did not initially want to buy Chavski. His interest was in Spurs but a deal could not be struck. It was on the helicopter flight back to the airport that he spotted the Chelsea ground from the air and asked his advisers what club it was. When he was told they were 4th in premiership and were currently better placed than Spurs, he instructed his advisers to make enquiries regarding its availability. So they were never his first choice anyway. Maybe he should have waited until a big club was available.
  21. Did anyone else see the class Liverpool supporter that was on ITV this morning? Asked for his opinions of MU going out and us playing Milan and hence no all English final. Said "Well lets face it, they are just not good enough to be there, are they." Absolute class.

    Zenden

I started an identical post to this. Seems i was not only one who felt a retraction was in order. Maybe admin can merge the two posts.
  23. What a bloody rollercoaster. Ever since this Rafa geezer has taken over I reckon there are more LFC supporters on the heart attack risk list than any other club. Reckon supporting this damn club is gonna kill me. Can't say much more, got another beer to down but yet again, I am walking around with a big stupid grin, which probably will still be with me for several days.

    Zenden

I have been one of those critical of Zendon's recent performances, especially last week in the first leg against Chelsea. Tonight. I take it all back. I thought he played a blinder. Solid throughout and made me feel guilty for giving him a hard time. Still won't be sorry to see him leave but what a way to go out. Well done that man.
  25. Zendon is in starting line up tonight.
