We have had calls for Rafa to go. We have regular slating of Moores and Parry. Whatever deal is being offered up for the club is at first slagged off and then after weeks of spin, is then the best thing ever. I think too many of you expect to have info fed to you at all times, especially where the club is concerned. I blame the media. Obviously some of you here do not remember what it used to be like being an LFC supporter before the premiership was created. The internal business workings of the club were never up for discussion. The transfers were done quietly. The manager just got on with the job and did not have tons of boll*x to share with the press, media and anyone else who would listen. Players did not have much to say and if they did speak out of turn were punished. I LIKE WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW. Most of us old timers have been totally uninspired. It now feels like the old days returning. It is nice that the press now struggles to get the lowdown on us. Whatever you think of Moores and Parry, I think they are getting it right. We have a manager that for once inspires future confidence. He also is canny with what he says and does. The rebuilding of our team is actually happening and some of the signings are superb. Team players and not just individuals. Cash investment will happen whoever takes over the club. With the core of the club being strengthened from all angles, I believe that the future is positive. I am sure i do not speak just for myself but as an old time fan, watching Rafa and the changes to the club. Not since the days of Keegan and Dalglish playing have I actually felt excited being a Red. We are definately on the up. So, just for you negative b*stards, please stop your bloody whinging.

Great player? Biggest waste of talent ever. A truly gifted player who would pass backwards 9 times out of 10. Used to pull my hair out when he had the ball. Was better than any opposition defenders at breaking up an attacking move or allowing time for the defence to get back. One or two wonder moments do not make him a great player. Everyone could see his potential but he never realised it. Damn frustrating and I was glad to see him go.

116 pages of rubbish. So glad I never read it all. So many armchair business gurus. Most (not all) of you have no idea how business works let alone how company take overs occur and the obligations to shareholders. George Gillett Dubai International Capital Robert Kraft Thai media tycoon Paiboon Damrongchaitham Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra Steve Morgan Spanish tycoon Juan Villalonga Mike Jefferies and Stuart Ford, (two American-based entertainment executives) All previously linked with a takeover of LFC incase anyone has forgotten. There are others that are not mentioned here and there are some on the sidelines watching and waiting. Just like Gillet did. DIC out of the picture now. Someone start a Gillet thread. Lets see if we can get over 100 pages of rubbish on that one too.

Not as daft as it appears. The only factor that makes us look so dire is the 5 losses. 3 of those against our closest opposition, which of course makes it more painful. Overall, we are not that much out of the equation it is just the premiership results that suck.

The only Liverpool player without a song. Just read a blog saying the same too. At the Reading game when he was substituted a small number were singing ?Come all Without, come all within, You'll not see nothing like the mighty Kuyt?. Pretty poor really. Now we all know how his name is pronounced, surely someone can do better.

And following this announcement by Gerrard, the papers are now picking on his hair style. Said that he is now called Tuffty after the squirrel. Totally ridiculous. Think some of these papers have definately got it in for LFC. Why can't they pick on that tw*t Moro on his knees acting as if they had won the CL after a draw at Barca. The ball was in play for only 41 minutes of that game and the actions of most of the players on both sides was disgraceful but they decide that Gerrards hair cut is more important. pffft

What an over reaction. It's the Mirror ffs. This story was grossly exagerated. They also lied about Gerrard being unhappy and wanting to leave. Think Gerrards response was along the lines "well that's a load of b*llocks" The Mirror is not much better than the Sun. Yeah, I know that the circumstances regarding the Sun were of a much greater magnitude but any lie is a lie and if printed as fact can be damaging to those mentioned and accused. Do the sensible thing and add the Mirror to the same category as the Sun and don't buy either. Maybe if that happened, then these lying b'stards might realise it is hitting them in the pocket.

Luca Toni to sign for LFC. Any truth in the rumour? I personally think it is rubbish as Fiorentina want at least £20 million and MUFC and Milan are already sniffing around. Besides, he is Italian and not many get as far as the UK.

What is with this us and you malarky? If this is the case then the whole forum should be by invite only so you can get the "right" sort of LFC supporter on here. As for behaving like schoolkids. The wind up is about a player we have not even signed yet and it is by no means certain that we will. With regards to new players, certain signings will be multi-role players. A bit like Risse. Others will be fixed roles like Fowler. So all this talk of the need for wingers or formation types is such a waste of time. We will have a team that can have players changing positions when needed and changing formations as required too. So all the talk of 4:4:2, 4:5:1 is also nonsense. We will not be that rigid and hence, unpredictable. ---------------------------- Dog - An old git that is watching LFC come full circle at long last. Oh, and I nearly forgot, I can behave like a schoolkid too :- I blow my nose at you.

So the only real gripe is that he has a really bad hair cut and does not answer the ticket office phone. ? Maybe someone should write and tell him.

There are always certain individuals who slate Rick Parry. Why?

Oi! Dog solidarity. Leave the dog out of this. I've given up guessing who we are going to sign. The rumours change every damn day. I would like to see us get Kuyt, Aguero and although I can't stand the t*sser, horseface but now i've mentioned the names it is unlikely we will get any of them. If it has to be Bellamy. Rafa would sort him out. He got Fowler to get his act together.

It nearly has but people keep posting and it just keeps on going. You havn't been taking this superb thread seriously have you? Has anyone else?

In response to threads where we are linked to players like Alves. It is often mentioned that we already have Gerrard in the midfield and where does a player like Alves fit in to the squad. I seem to remember that Rafa was talking about giving Gerrard a more attacking role. This can only happen if he is playing in a more attacking position, i.e. a midfield/strikers position. If Gerrard is played in a different role then we will have holes in midfield to fill and the presumed positions of existing and new players will not be as rigid as some on here believe. We already have players regularly swapping positions from right to left during games. If done right, it makes defending for the opposition very difficult. Man marking will pull opposition players into positions they are not good in. In such a case, Alves and/or several other players linked with us would fit in nicely. Dog

What a great thread. I must also be part of it. Will there be a place for Jar Jar in our new line up with Schevva? And when Torres and Aguero come too, do you think they will all get p*ssed off with a rotation sytem?

22 in league. 28 total

All us oldies are cool with WHU also. They have always done things the right way. They can play some good football and the fans appreciate class. They have had their own fair share of class players over the ages too. And to top it off, most of them also despise the same rubbish we do. CFC THFC and the mancs. We're not West Ham fans but credit and respect where it's due. Great final.

It is unlikely that there will be any concrete announcement on new signings before the last premiership game of the season. I am surprised that so many of you have still not twigged. Rafa does things the way they used to be done in the old days. Nothing is said, not even deliberate hints until the ink is dry on the contract. This means he will keep things in-house until any deal is done, irrespective of who the player is. To give the team a boost, it may be that Rafa will make a positive announcement prior to the FA cup final but don't be surprised if there is nothing announced until after the event. Reading into what has been said already. Rafa has stated that we will see more from Fowler during pre season training. That would suggest he is going to be around for a while longer to allow further assessment of his fitness, team compatability and form. Irrespective, no point speculating until we get an official statement. It may be that Rafa holds off until just before the beginning of the next Premier season, so we could all be kept guessing for much longer yet.

JS - don't be such a sad case. Most here would like to see the guilty punished, not a scapegoat. The farcical way Michael was tried and locked up was very very wrong and the support from everyone shows that. As for Sankey and him being a Blue. Mate of yours? You mentioned him, not me. I have pointed no fingers at anyone. It should be pointed out that Sankey is not necessarily guilty although it appears that he probably is. A proper fair trial should determine who is guilty and innocent. ...and yes, the guilty are still free but this may change soon. Charlie Clown, I am glad to hear that.

No self respecting oldy would waste time doing this stupid exercise anyway. How many of you have actually seen a game with all the players mentioned? How about spending hours arranging the players in your posts to show the formation positions. Some peeps have way too much time on their hands. This is the sort of regular post on the LFC.tv forum that made me stop visiting there. Think I'll go read some Clubcall.com b*llox. Just as purile. Must be schools out again. Dog in Troll mode.

Rafael Benitez has stated that if money was no object, Torres would be his first signing and Torres has publicly stated his admiration of LFC. Torres is a close pal of Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia who is supposed to have spoken with him about a move to Liverpool. The price is liable to be about £12m but could be much higher dependant on other clubs interest.

Every day some tw*t makes a post slating Morientes and Cisse or asking us to choose between the two of them. Reality check: Cisse does not play well as a team player and is working on that in training. When Cisse plays it is like having 10 1/2 players instead of 11 at the moment. Moro does play as a team player and therefore gets games. Rafa has told him to start being selfish now he has a handle on how the Premiership works. Maybe we will finally see him banging them in. Moro came to LFC on the proviso that he is expendable if things don't work out. The more he plays the better value he is for any potential suiters too. B*gger all to do with favoritism. All to do with playing how Rafa wants them to play. Rafa has a master plan and is still working towards it. Stop wanting it all now, the best is yet to come.
