Middlesborough away really stands out for me, we battered them (well Stevie did almost single handedly) and it still finished 0-0. Man U away gives me nightmares as well, that last minute winner was a real choker.
Middlesborough usually do well against them but unfortunately they'll be knackered and have their minds elsewhere. Wonder if Charlton players will want to send Curbishley off with a win?
Penarth is OK and only a short bus or train journey away (3 miles) - for cheap and cheerful accomodation with a good breakfast try Hickman Lodge http://www.hickmanlodge.co.uk/
Well suited that we're not really rated too be honest. We can steal up and nab the Prem Title next season just like we did the Champions League Title last season before anyone notices
As a kid Rochdale were my second team. They were local, they were cheap enough to buy tickets (at the gates)with my pocket money and I could walk to the ground with my mates. I still look for their results but have lately noticed we only tend to win when they lose or draw. Of course my allegiance has cooled considerably since this realisation
Was really worried about the very real frailities at the back when the starting line up was announced. Hamann should have started and much as I hate Gerrard on the right, in hindsight that would have been the better option.
as an aside, during last season we often only had one fit striker at any one time. Baros in particular held the ball up really well even when he wasnt scoring
Benfica were good defensively against a not very creative attack - they were good on the break against a not very confident defence. If that makes them good, so be it
In defence of Kewell, he's played an awful lot of consecutive games for someone just coming back from a nasty injury - I expect to a lesser degree you could say the same for Garcia
