we played high tempo game from the start. what we lacked is composure in the final third. to make 1-2 pass, spliting pass, gerrard , alonso & both our flanks should ve done better.

yah, we can see on both flanks. riera who have skills but doesnt posses any real pace to beat his man. plus tonight he looked reluctant to pass his man.that s why we should bring babel soooooner... SWP for 11mil? mmm...

the problem was in the supply lines, not in the strking department. how s**** was our left flank in the first half? dossena & riera was really poor. we should ply 3 4 3 in the final 15 mins , bring in babel to partner with keane & kuyt upfront..well consider our result against stoke, fulham, without torres & our poor goal ratio this season rafa knows better ..hell yeah...& he got third draw at home.

he cant play as left midfield in 4 2 2 . he will always cut inside. dont give us width. he s good in 4 3 3 sytem or play as a 2nd striker.

if we have a player like fabregas/iniesta i think we could do something different at the game. instead we play too many crosses/high ball. torres & keane partnership will come good if we give em more short pass/defense splitting pass thru the middle. & another thing. looks like rieira & babel will compete to the same spot - LM. why not RM for babel? leave kuyt behind sometime. his workrate is tremendous, but some game we just more firepower. SWP looks good at city & score goals from right position. ..mmm

if alonso is a playmaker in a pirlo mould, then he not suited to our league to be honest. he lack pace. he s not mobile. he s got stamina. when we on attacking mode, usually alonso will arrived late in the scene. compare with fabregas/xavi/pirlo they all massively involve in their passing/ attacking moves. they were there when the team needs it. why? because our league need pace & power. in case of pirlo, yes he doesnt have pace, but milan plays with passing/possesion football. he always involve with dead ball, killer pass. fabregas moves the ball from the back, then dictate the plays/the passes in the final third. flamini just feckin stay back & do the dirty work. looked at iniesta / xavi - they moved with ball beautifully, run with ball, very compose... it s about pace. mobility & trickery. i like alonso. but think we need more edge in attacking areas. more players involved & ruthlessly effective. we want the league. not 3rd, 4th anymore. we want more attacking quality in FB area, dont we? than why not CM? (assuming gerrard permanent 2nd striker role)

they both stay back. protect the defense is their main job. ours? not xabi anymore is it? the job now goes to marscherano. (look when they play together or sometime they both conflict each other by doing the same job-). there s gap between our CM & our forward line. is alonso quality are perfect with that kind of role? alonso is not a playmaker. is not attacking CM. he s not into pirlo/fabregas/xavi mould. he is a very good holder. same as makelele, carrick, hamann . but the thing is, marscherano is lot better suit with our league - Fast & furious. 18 mil - it s good business. imho

iniesta swap move with alonso. pretty good to me. a true playmaker attacking passing midfielder. lovely.
