If anyone is still hoping DIC come in, then that won't happen either. I hear from a trusted source Sameer Al-Ansari, is moving to another company (a bank as CEO), albeit within the Dubai Banking Group portfolio. Expect an announcement on Monday. And since he was the one who was keen to purchase the club, I don't think this is going to happen anymore.

I just received this from a friend..... There's a rumour doing the rounds that a premiership manager has walked out on his club. Some think it is Rafa, WillHill odds this morning was 18/1 him being sacked but changed to 11/2 now. Should we worry? Or is it B-S?

Your spot on. That is what I think everyone should be asking.... what is it with Eto'o that made Barca get shot? He must be a right pilluck. For 2 years they've been wanting to get rid of him. Does anyone know why Ged never signed him before he went to Barca? I remember us being heavily linked with him, and him even saying that he'd love to play with Owen cos he'd score loads and wow the crowds or something to that effect.

I don't think there genuinely is anyone out there who is capable of doing what Alonso does to his standard. His all round game play is unmatched. Who genuinely comes close.... Ballack? Fabregas? Carrick? Pirlo? Cambiasso? Sneijder? Xavi? Iniesta? I don't think any of them do, as there's something missing from them all. Maybe Ballack a few years back would've come close, but he's on his last legs now. Xavi & Iniesta are too attack minded, and not as good when it comes to picking the longer passes or playing defensively. So in short, if he goes, we can't replace him. We'll just have to change the way we play. Maybe a more attacking player is what we need?

Of all the times i've read comments about him from former managers or players who have played with him, they've never really said anything bad. Apparently he's always come across professional, trains well and gets on well with others. Problem is he's a bit like Berbatov... talented, but just doesn't stand up when his team need him, or at times simply lazy - which the media have gone on to say he's arrogant, bad attitude etc etc. Unlike Eto'o who actually was a problem within the dressing room. Guardiola & Rijkaard have both pretty much said so. I reckon Ibrahimovic be a huge hit in La Liga... he'll score shed loads, and maybe even score a few wonder goals. I don't expect him to set the world alight against Real. The real test will come against teams in Europe, for which I expect him to continue to be s****, and thus keep this thread going until he retires, and we'll never agree if he's s**** or great.

Didn't Guardiola want Eto'o out? I read a few weeks back Guardiola saying something along the lines of Eto'o has his charcter and he is what he is - (or something to that effect), but for dressing room harmony, it's best he goes, indicating that he may have been a bit of a trouble maker? Didn't they also want him out, along with Ronaldinho a couple of seasons back as they felt they were both bad influences within the club.
