Nobody obviously, but there has to be a first time for everything. If a £50million bid did come in, be it Jan or summer... how confident is everybody that they would say no? Seriously? I'm just not very confident that they can say no, or will say no. £50mill is a lot of money, especially when you have a team in transition, with rebuilding work going on and a new manager who will need funds. Whatever happens, the comments from Rodgers & Suarez make good reading.

Yep agreed. Granted some of them won't be willing to take pay cuts, like they struggled to offload Adebayor... but I reckon they can still shift this lot, as they aren't a bad bunch. Dzeko could easily go to Bayern who he's been linked with & keep his wages... as could Ballotelli at Milan. If Tevez & Toure go PSG who they've also been linked with, I can't see Tevez taking a cut, only maybe Toure. But he'll probably go as he ain't getting any games. I hope i'm way off the mark, and none of this happens in any shape or form, with any of their players, and they get stuck with them. But I just have this bad feeling that they will somehow meet FFP rules come hook or crook, make a bid for Suarez, and it will be a hefty sum... and we simply won't be able to refuse. I'm just bracing myself for the worst bredrins! I remember I was in Bangladesh in Jan 2011 cut off from the rest of the world when Torres was sold.... I found out about it a week into Feb. I wish that article was true... They could still very easily sign Suarez, and meet FFP rules... all they'd have to do is trim the wage bill, which they will inevitably do, now that they've established a decent team. Balotelli & Kolo Toure out the door will pretty much cover the bulk of Suarez's wages... Ballotelli is supposed to be on £125k & Toure on £90k per week. Add in Dzeko who may also be sold, and he's supposed to be on around £160k per week if you believe the papers. And if they get shot of Tevez, which most expect to happen at some stage, they would be saving another £250k per week. That's £625k give or take saved in wages a week with those 4 gone. For that amount, they could pay Suarez and Falcao top whack if they want & have change left over. Selling those 4 should also bring in the £50mill they would need - PSG alone would pay a premium for Tevez. Either way... they can easily sign him & meet FFP, which is bad news for us. I have faith in Suarez wanting to stay... but no faith in FSG in wanting to keep him. They'll cash in...maybe not in January... but at some point soon they will.
