I'm not sure you'll get a lot of change out of that around here... Neither will you get much change out of pointing out how hypocritical people are being for calling out your players for diving. Liverpool players don't all have 100% record of playing of 100% Corinthian spirit 100% of the time but any deviance from that ideal pales into insignificance when compared with your current crop of shysters.

Eeeyiado he'll win the special cup.

I just don't think he's got to grips with our particular brand of pressing, team movement and offside trap. It can't help that he's not being taught this stuff in his first language. He'll get much better as time goes by, whether or not he'll get good enough to make our LB his spot for a few years is another question.
-
I think he'll prove himself as a bargain as he gets to grips with both the tactics at the club and the league.

I agree, but unlike Pennant, who I don't think would be missed at all from the squad, Benayoun is the only real cover we have Keane. To be honest though - I wouldn't be bothered if we sold Benayoun and Pennant and brought no-one in. El-Zhar looks useful, I'm sure Babel could do a job on the right (although I worry that he's not capable of putting in 90mins - and really worry that he's not capable of doing that twice a week) and we've enough in the stiffs to fill in at a push.
-
A replacement for Pennant. Actually not a replacement - but someone who will compete and help us keep a similar shape when in for Diggler. A replacement for Benayoun. Someone with more strength who can play in-between them lines. I wonder if Harry would like a Benayoun at Spurs? Keeping Benayoun wouldn't be such a bad thing, but I think Pennant is well past his sell by date.

Aye, we won 3-2 on TV ants.

I agree we were naive today. Even Carragher & Gerrard were.

Valencia seemed far more clinical in the earlier part of games to me. We're better than them already though. Just earlier in our development. The side he took over at valencia were far more progressed down the road we've taken.

Arsenal will start to put themselves together or aren't a threat for top 4 never mind the title. The Mancs have to go to the World club cup b******s. We'll know what's required after Christmas.
-
I'd love the f*****s to go down that route.
-
that's s****. Carragher is an excellent defender and the best out of all the four we have. Agger is still a youngling. Skrtle is a f***ing monster but again is youth.

Benayoun and Pennant will be replaced. Maybe with one player. El Zhar can chip in too. It's a shame Yossi didn't do his chances of a transfer to spurs any good. He'd be a classic Redknapp / Jewish folk hero down there and he'd probably do well.

Aye. It's a f***ing s**** result and we were always gonna get one sooner or later. How we react to it is where it's at. And we're in a great position to react to react. We've got a home European tie to come first and then WBA at home. Torres to come back in. We can also send the kids back to s**** hart lane to have a go at getting some comeback after that.

f***ing gutted. As Sion said, since Sao Paolo we've pretty much got what what we deserved. We were f***ing awful in the the last 20 though. Carra's booking was crucial - he panicked after that in the weather. Also we struggled to real possession in their half which I don't think was helped by our decision making or the officials (well, the linesman in particular - he made at least 3 poor decisions in row and numerous others in their favour starting with arbleloa's "foul" down by the corner - which was rubbish) and as such lost our defensive edge from front to back. We should have been 3-0 at half time though. Gutted, gutted. GUTTED.

I looked at it for ages last night. Best thing about it after being 3 points clear is the teams we've played and been away to. Stamford Bridge Goodison Villa Park Eastlands Stadium of Light We've also played Boro at home who seem to be well set up for taking points off the bigger teams on their travels. And of course we've played and beaten Man Utd and Portsmouth who are currently a top half side. We're only a quarter of the way through but it looks like we've already gone through some of the more difficult fixtures. We've only L'a*** and Hull left to play in the current top 10. Man City could become a more difficult away trip after January. But we've already been there. It maybe could have been better to go to Tottenham earlier in the season under Ramos, but Redknapp hasn't been there as long as he'd like - and we should be more rested than them after their match last night. It might have been better to play Newcastle whilst they were struggling more too. We're away to Arsenal on the 21st of December. Incidentally. Man Utd have already been away to Stamford Bridge, Anfield and are going to the Emirates on the 8th of November. Chelsea have yet to go away to Anfield, Old Trafford, Villa Park or the Emirates.

The song's mentioned in Brian Reade's "43 Years with One Bird". It was around the time of the 1965 Cup Final. "Haroo! Haroo!" "And we'll all get blind drunk when Liverpool win the Cup!" So defo not that Manc f***in' O's****'s song at all. Typical Manc that. Nick something and then say it's theirs. We should never have allowed that bloody ship canal.

If we won all the games against Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal then the matches against the lower sides would not matter so much in terms of points... Both are true, but neither show the whole truth. In terms of league position - good results against against the lower 16 teams give you a good chance to finish top 4. In terms of winning the title - good results against against the lower teams AND good results against the other 3 give you a good chance to win the league.
-
Either them or they're bitters. Didn't Everton finish 4th? I'm shocked at bookies taking this seriously!
