Here's my insult. Agree with almost all that (except I'd say we sang for Liverpool 100% of the time!) For the first time in many season there, we actually had something to sing and shout about and underneath the stands before kick-off was like the old days again. All the swagger and bravado is back and it's a delight to see and hear. Our fans were outSTANDing yesterday and they made me proud, win lose or draw. Yes, we have idiots but our idiots are drowned out by the Tsunami wave of idiots they have. I lost count of the number of "crushed face" gestures and wings flying that they were DESPERATE for us to sing but we stayed above all that. They truly are obsessed with us, the humourless, vacant-faced soap dodgers. Well, when I say insult, I mean ringing endorsement.

??? Mystified me, that has. Kewell was Mr. Anonymous yesterday but to be fair to him, so were a lot of our players and mainly because whatever half chances the midfield created, the players, and us the fans, knew wouldn't be converted as no-one's got any faith in the strikers. If our midfield dominate and hand them regular gilt-edged chances on a plate, then yes, they'll score, it's the law of averages. Give them a half chance and there's no chance.

In Saturday's edition of The Sun, the British public were ?treated? to a list of all the under-21 players that Arsene Wenger has bought for Arsenal. These players were then given either a 'Hit' or 'Miss' rating, based on how well they did after joining the club. The gist of the article was essentially to trash the Walcott signing before it has even happened. One of the players described as a 'Miss' was Niccolo Galli, who was also mentioned in the introductory text above the table. The general point seems to be that Galli never made it at Arsenal, no-one has ever heard of him since and he was therefore a duff signing. The reason Galli never made the first team at Arsenal is because he was tragically killed in a car accident in his native Italy in 2001, at the age of just 17. At the time, the young defender was a lynchpin of both Arsenal's under-17 and under-19 teams as well as an FA Youth Cup-winning team. Brimming with potential, it was evident from his displays that he would have gone on to some success. So no, Galli never made the first team. But there is a damn good reason why - and to slate him as a bad signing is a slur on the memory of a fine young player. But we have never scored when the opposition has lost a player, have we? So it's not really an advantage.
