    I, erm, what?
  2. No it's not. It's not a contributary factor at all. Never was and never should be.

  16. the system is very efficient today but rang at 9.02 and by 9.04 I had got through and sorted tickets for our game against our fun-loving cousins in the FA cup. Only thing is, someone wants to tell that annoying bint on the machine that we play both United and City in FEBRUARY!!

  18. Doesn't it depend on where you're from though? I know hardly any Chelsea fans and so they don't really appear on my radar other than when we play them. Man Ure fans though! Flipping heck, they are every blinking where, especially when they are on a roll or beating us.

  21. No, no, forget about defending yourself in the knee-jerk stakes mate, I wasn't referring to you personally! I just think that this is what being a football supporter is all about; you have to be man enough to take the rough with the smooth and we've hit one of the inevitable rough patches we knew we were going to get. That's all it is, it's not the appropriate time for an inquest. If I might draw a parallel, it's like showing your support by leaving the game with ten minutes left because you are two-nil down instead of doing what a proper fan should do and give it your all until the final whistle and demand the players do the same.

  23. I disagree with that. I think it's the worst possible time. Where were these debates over Christmas? All I remember after Everton is the sheer adulation of everyone and half the number of moaning posts on here. This is a time for quiet reflection not a knee-jerk reaction. We'll turn the corner and put a smile on faces again, just watch.
  24. I don't know, I think the first guy got it right. We ain't gonna win the league this season and Jerzy is the man for the big cup games so let him keep the shirt, I say.
  25. Yes, I can see them too. But is this the day for such belly-aching? Surely this is part and parcel of being a football supporter, the ups and the downs. And let's face it, even our grim days would be lapped up as success at many other clubs so let's all unite behind the greatest football club in British history shall we and show that we are worthy supporters of that club. IF we go out of the two cups in the next month or so, then we can have this debate but as for now, there is still much to do and more we can add in 2006 to our honours list.
