  14. Finally had a reply (sent my email on 11th May): Dear ... Thank you for your e-mail 'Kelvin MacKenzie's World Cup Scandals'. Firstly, I apologise for the delay in our reply. We know our correspondents appreciate a quick response, and it is a matter of regret to us that you have had to wait for so long on this occasion. I understand that you addressed your e-mail to Bob Shennan. Mr Shennan has personally given authority for the team in his office to read all the mail addressed to him and assign it accordingly. They have an extensive knowledge of the workings of the BBC and have considerable experience and understanding of his role. They will immediately refer any e-mails to him that require his personal attention or direct them elsewhere in the Corporation where necessary. I understand that you are unhappy with Kelvin MacKenzie being involved with a football programme. The two part series, called 'Kelvin MacKenzie's World Cup Scandals', looked at tabloid newspaper coverage of some the great scandals surrounding past World Cup tournaments. We realise that opinions about presenters vary considerably but it is a rare television or radio personality of any kind who meets the approval of everyone. As the former editor of a tabloid newspaper, Kelvin MacKenzie, is hugely experienced in this field. He has reported on a number of other issues for various broadcasters and is well qualified to present programmes on the subjects of scandal and football. May I take this opportunity to thank you again for taking time to contact the BBC. Regards Elaine Hunter BBC Information
