No. Its a max 17 non-homegrown. You only need to fill out all the homegrown slots if you want a squad of 25 players. And a number of our first team players are too young to be included in those numbers The 17 is the key number, we are close to that unless we sell some foreign players or don't register them

Stylistically Alonso's football is more Slot like than Klopp like, hence going for Iraola. Given Alonso and Iraola share an agent we obviously made a conscious choice at some point
