Atticus Finch

Leoni or Ndukwe or Quansah are probably the replacements. Big ask though

Team as the Como game. Bench is desperately short of attacking options. No Chiesa!

Trent on the bench tonight for Madrid. Really doesn't seem like a Mourinho player. Doesn't mean its going to happen of course

You pay the first price you are offered? Salespersons dream

12 yards. No wonder it was memorable he took it a yard closer to the goal!

Is it possible the Minteh injury slowed our interest? Appreciate we could have bought him pre-injury, but did that coincide with us still going after Diomande?

Good, but not great, player. I would have had him as a squad player, but its clear he wanted out which is fair enough as he was always unlikely to be a regular starter here

Of course, Sam is a boyhood red

Who knows frankly. But LBOs were often used by people with assets but little cash. One thing you can say about this lot is they aren't short of cash

We'll get more money shifting Gakpo and probably will just have to let Chiesa go on a free in the end

Agree with this. Its death by a thousand cuts though. Standard Chartered aren't exactly one of the good guys and have been on our shirts for years. Jurgen made football fun, which helped paper over all of the other stuff. Much will depend on whether someone can recapture that sort of spirit

DIC would have been terrible buyers too. Got stuffed by the 2008-10 economic downturn in the same way that H&G did. Moores and Parry's biggest problem was not having the vision/capability to grow the club in the way that fsg has (or United under Edwards had done).

They are prepared to pay fortunes to the kids. And agents. And parents. Some of it probably even lawfully

If they are looking at the tv rights and streaming on their own deal, Amazon is a logical platform. Unfortunately we are in a position that whoever buys us is likely to be a bigger c*** than the current lot, just because of the money involved

You can add James Trafford and Shea Charles to the city list. And Rio to the Chelsea list. And thats just off the top of my head

Don't sleep on the youth academies. Both invested a fortune in them, hoovered up talent from everywhere, as youth spend was exempt. Then they sell for huge profits. The numbers of top flight players that have been through those academies is ridiculous

McAllister only returned today for us. Every chance Barcola has just done the same for PSG

My guess is to free up wages for the Rodri deal

Depends on your demographic and the audience you're trying to reach.

I know what you mean about Konate, but the stats show he had one of the best aerial win %. Perhaps those don't include the occasions when he got caught under the ball and missed it?!

The difference is the number of players starting this season with long term injuries which means we have gaps all over the squad. Not exactly helpful when fitness levels tanked under slot and have to be built back up and therefore chances are players will pick up injuries through that

This is the thing, UEFA boycotting will affect everyone but the men's teams until probably the next club world cup at the earliest. Feel really sorry for all those players caught in the crossfire of this, as every chance Infantino drags it out, for example if any of the women's teams miss out on going to a world cup as a result of power hungry men being idiots

Barcola presumably hasn't returned from his 3 week break yet

The career ender was his knee(s). Shin splints was the first major injury after he broke through
