  1. Yep. Decent starting XI but the bench is devoid of game changers Agree. Not a "boozer" and not for a match day but '28 West' which is on the river by Westferry is a lovely place to have a drink on a sunny afternoon / evening
  2. Jib that. Go watch the Palace v Hull match at Lahore Kebab House whilst eating amazing lamb chops and seekh kebabs and drinking beer from the offy next door. Then jump on the DLR back to Stratford. Easy.
  3. Lovren was s***e all f***ing game (and is generally s***e) but how many times have seen Can gormlessly standing in the middle of the box, at a corner, losing people and letting them run past! Brainless c***!
  4. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp defended Alberto Moreno after victory at West Brom. Moreno missed an open goal late on, but Klopp excused the fullback. He revealed: "I told him after the game 'I know everyone thinks you can play in Daniel Sturridge, but actually he would have been offside'. Maybe there was another option that I didn't see, I'd have to watch it again, but it's completely normal in a situation like this, you think you have to do this [shoot]. "He had a difficult few weeks but last week was really good and he deserved a few minutes, it was only a few minutes but that's good. He's a good boy, really. I would have been happy for him, actually, if he'd scored this goal, but [there was] excitement until the end, which is pretty much always way it is when we are involved."
  5. My reading (admittedly not based on anything tangible) was that Hodgson was engineered by Purslow based on feedback from Gerrard and Carra. Possibly based on feedback from Murphy. Yes, yes - I know its all conjecture but I would bet that the actual turn of events was close to that scenario
  6. That was brilliant! Could not stop laughing at that after the goal!

  10. After reading this depressing match thread, that genuinely made me LOL. I remember when he jumped on Rafa after that match against Barca in 2007 and told him he was a genius. I love Bellamy.
  11. Gentleman Phil Scraton

  13. Couldn't agree with this more. I'm not saying Lucas is the solution but, for me, Can's decision making is too poor for him to be first choice for the midfield

  15. Aye and I'm unrepentant
  16. Watched the game at home but still stood up (out of my comfy armchair) to give him a standing ovation as he walked onto the pitch yesterday. I love Leiva and would be made up if he stayed.
  17. I don't think it was s***. Only the fact we hadn't scored kept me from enjoying it
  18. One of the worst overtly racist situations I've experienced in my life was walking across Stanley Park to the 2010 home game against these. Me and my mate (both of Indian descent) subjected to 10 mins of racist chanting including the delightful ditty "Everton are all white, white, white!". Irony all lost on them considering their team included Distin, Pienaar, Yakubu, Fellaini, Saha and Anichebe. The thick blues***e c****. Anyway f*** them. Up the Reds! What a glorious morning to be alive!
