I 100% hope (and think this is probably) nonsense... But he has the look of the Clough and Smicer #7 signings. Tidy, ok pace but not lightning, lots of great touches, but never really capable of imposing themselves on the game so that it bent to their well -

The moment did. The result came from a passive performance devoid of pace, ideas and creativity. Ibou was awful. Totally awful. Mo offered little. Wirtz is playing in a daze. Dom and Chiesa come out with credit. And the keeper. Apart from that. Rotten -
Between Jan and the summer we're going to need a centre half overhaul not dissimilar to when big Jorg was rebuilding the midfield from his lilo in mallorca. We'll need a minimum of 3 between those 2 windows. One to replace Ibou One to replace Joe One to bridge Leoni's year back and virgils either final or penultimate year And one for the little girl who lives down the lane 26/27 3 new CBs, virgil, leoni 27/28 Leoni* + 3 new CBs, virgil *or a 4th new signing if the lad's recovery and development don't work out

Really dreadful that. -
I remember that Ray Stewart used to simply smash penalty kicks dead hard and they were almost unstoppable

Would you be willing to split the difference and settle on 8?

Yup.. That'll do 4 points dropped across the 2 main rivals Arsenal look like Stoke and are 2 league games behind us City defending with 5 at the back.. Loss of identity and are three league games behind us That'll 100% do.. -

Round about now I think I'd prefer arsenal to take points off this city team. They look strong and powerful without being irresistible, but could get a run going. A 1-1 in which neither looked great would be rivals dropping 4 points. On balance I reckon that'd be the best outcome for us, followed by the win for city as is happening now -

Slot has already said that Ali, virgil, Ibou, Grav, Dom and Salah will be nowhere near this game. Referenced how the lads who have experience of 3 games a week have been the only ones he's be willing to not rotate and so they'll not be playing in the 'Milk Cup' (his words, not mine ) -
If we get 10 out of 15 points that's us tracking at 2.5 per game, a 95 point season. Now of course it doesn't work as simply as that, but still... It'd set a formidable pace

Time for a trip to the barbers

When's the best time for a match? (answers akin to 'when you need to light a fire' are not big and not funny) General consensus though.. Best kick off time in the league?

Let by Gerard butler -
Would you always sell therefore with 18 months to go?
-
Would anyone here be seriously that bothered if a player simply said this will be his last season with the club, that is if about opportunities to play in a different league and experience new opportunities, but that he will fight every minute of every game for success for Liverpool?

One big happy Swiss family Robertson -
Slot got it right. Immediately before that incident their defender did the same thing to Mo, and the free kick was against Mo (as it almost always is without rhyme or reason save that refs think they have to level the playing field by being tougher on Mo) Anyway, the blood was up in the stadium, 50-50s were not going our way. They were calling for everything against Kerkez. The boss got it right. Calling him out in a game in which all three forwards really underwhelmed, in which Wirtz was tidy without being able to make a breakthrough, is a bit too easy. He's still very young, learning the ropes and will be a big part of our season and future.

Cant be too many more of those get out of jail free cards in the pack. Getting these 12 points playing the way we have is mad, and is bound to have a double down demoralising impact on 'rivals' -

Not a great start to the season at all -
there it is!! (now apparently some lad who knows a thing or two about Leoni says he's gonna be real good.. read it somewhere but can't remember where)
-
went looking for this lad's thread and couldn't find one listening in the car to talksport this morning and Martin Semmens, former CEO of Southampton who also was involved in the Krauss group running Parma, was talking about Gio Leo. I've no idea if this guy's view on footballers is worth diddly-squat.. BUT... he did say that 6 or 7 PL clubs all spoke to him about Leoni and he told them all he was great and gonna be as good as Virgil. The only club that didn't talk to him - us. His two observations are - we're very, very good at what we do, namely understanding of who players are and getting deals done (we had done our homework and didn't need to ask him); and - this lad is really, really good and could be - in his view - as good as Virgil. In the event that at some point in the future we're talking about one of our greatest ever centre-halfs, then there'll always be this little time capsule of a thread
