There's f*** all difference really between Agger and Skrtel bar Agger can kick it hard in the general direction of the goal: both can come into midfield with ball at their feet, both are decently agile too with the ball (for CBs) and both are pussies when it comes to dealing with physically aggressive players. Our big problem is their similarity, neither has the strength to cover the other's weakness.

He's been making more mistakes though than you would rightly expect from a top class keeper. Dropping the ball, letting it squirm past you etc are going to happen the odd time to everyone but Pepe has been making all kind of errors - yesterday's was so wildly wrong it was almost worth "two" in itself!

You're saying this but the evidence points otherwise. And what does it mean anyhow to have problems with anticipation but not ability - for a goalkeeper they are close to synonymous.

I can't imagine how you can take that angle, Skrtel was watching Aguero run into a completely safe position over to the side, out of danger, when suddenly Reina appeared out there - I wouldn't blame the lad moments of bewilderment. The consistency of Reina's sussness though, beyond just this season, is the cause of concern

Okay, Brad saves more shots, I'll give you that ... but what exactly do you mean otherwise? Neither keeper marshals the defence pretty well, both are good reflex shot stoppers, Jones has demonstrated better handling in the air, Reina's distribution is on a far higher level and so on... but, really, it is not a world of difference, it really isn't. We should have, need I think at this stage, a better option for next season.
