Indeed not. There's a chance he stays next season, Slot obviously likes his attitude. He won't be starting him often if at all though, unless he plans to give people minutes when the league is won and we are playing dead rubbers, which is quite possible, or we have lots of injuries in midfield

I dont see how we could have been any better. Its an incredible first season in charge. Dont understand the talk of mistakes at all. What you are saying is Slot should have trusted and played the squad players more, and he absolutely shouldn't have. Played the squad players at Plymouth and lost. Absolutely no guarantee we win other matches we did win because Slot played less good players. I think we were behind in both matches v Southampton as it is. FSG should have bought a central midfielder when the Zubimendi deal failed. They should have bought a centre half instead of Chiesa. And nunez should have been sold last summer and a better forward signed. Somehow, Slot has overcome all that.

I don't think he could or should have, He doesn't think Elliott or Endo or Chiesa, which are really the main three we are talking about, are good enough to start. 0 starts for all 3 of them all season in league and champions league matches. And he is completely vindicated by results. 1 league defeat all season, in a cup final and topped a 32 team champions league group. We lost one very tough tie to PSG on pens over 2 legs, and at Anfield we went downhill when we did use the squad players.

Jones has a lot more to his game than Elliott and has been largely very good this season, and last. Elliott looked like a little boy when he went on last night. Couldnt get a kick. PSG passed him by like he wasn't there.

He did really well. Difficult game to go into, but I was impressed with Quansah. He's just not Trent. No one is. He's absolutely unique and this will be the most upset I have been about us losing a player since McManaman to Madrid.
