That was before Captain Kane berated former players in the media for criticising his England team. Since then Lineker, Shearer, Ferdinand, Neville and the rest have stressed the positives in Englands results.
Kane did a good job in getting the critics on side. Not so much, never mind the quality feel the width, as, forget the performance admire the result. England are dull, slow and predictable but successful. Even if they lose in the semi final the campaign will not be seen as a failure.
I doubt if Bellingham would be selected. He had a good season against weak teams in La Liga but did nothing against the strong Spanish sides, especially Athletico.
He was impressive against the feeble opponents RM faced in the group stages of the CL but was invisible in the knock-out stages and poor in the final.
He had a fine first half against Serbia and scored a good goal but vanished in the second half when the Serbs roused themselves and got stuck in.
When assessing Jude Bellingham you should be thankful we never signed him and remember your Puff Daddy: Don't Believe The Hype.

Several years ago QPR were fined £9M for breaching FFP rules. They were advised that if they challenged the decision in the High Court they would almost certainly win because punishing an owner for investing money in a business they own is a restraint of trade.
It was the “almost” in “almost certainly” that gave the QPR directors cold feet. They decided not to spend a small fortune on legal fees perusing a case they may not win.
The latest Man City case is based upon the same argument considered by QPR, by not allowing the owners of Man City to invest in a business they own the FA's financial regulations are a restraint of trade. Given the quality of legal expertise City can afford they have an excellent chance of winning this argument in the courts.
Little wonder Cobs only had 3 points if he thinks Cunny is, “massive favourite to win.”
Cunny predicted Man U to win the FA Cup. I bet he doesn't think that now.
Cheesecake and my good self predicted the obvious, Real Madrid to win the CL.
I reckon the massive favourite is a joint triple for BCC.
BTW; Warnock tipping Villa for fourth was impressive. That man has a future in punditry.
