Match Topic Liverpool vs Bournemouth - Premier League, 21st September @ 3pm

I wouldn't make too many changes, Bournemouth are a decent side. They were unlucky to loose against Chelsea in a game they should have won. They have a strong defence and Cook in midfield is a talent. They are blunt in attack but another Forest result is not unimaginable. Risk-free selection, Diaz and Jotta to start -

For the second consecutive game I used the oojason link to multiple streams. The first recommended link was to Sky and I had no complaints. No buffering, commentary by a pair Sky regulars, a man and that serious blonde, and an excellent picture. The half-time analysis was by four strangers to me, but they seemed to be ex players whose comments were bland enough to be ignored. Oojason's links are excellent, no complaints and highly recommended. Give them a try. -

Unkind on Bradley to say Gomez was a better option for 3 at the back. Introducing Bradley was a return to Klopp's option of a strong defence being 2 on the half-way line, and it nearly paid off. Bradley created our only worthwhile chance in the final 20 minutes when he beat on opponent and squared the ball to Dom whose shot was unfortunately deflected past the post. It's difficult to imagine Gomez creating a chance like that, for Bradley it's a trademark move. -

The Sky link. No buffering for the entire match. A useful link for future games. A bit of buffering may have eased the pain in the second half. -

In his post match interview Slot said he played Dom on the left in midfield without explaining why. I must say I didn't notice this and have no idea why he did it. It certainly worked. Any tactical guru's on here who can explain that ploy? -

They not too confident on Sad Cafe, the absence of Mount, age of Casemiro, stamina of Mainoo and a goal-shy attack being the main concerns. Mount being key to their pressing game and Mainoo conking out after 70 minutes surprised me. Lets hope both concerns prove to be true. Their most optimistic posters think MU start well then fade whereas we begin slowly but improve after half time and are hoping for an early lead with sound second half substitutions. None of them share the worry on here about our lack of a proven 6 but most are terrified of Mo. Bless. -
According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool have made an enquiry to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig over the signing of defender Mohamed Simakan, who like Gomez is a centre-back by trade who can fill in across the back four. The Reds face competition from Newcastle United, FC Barcelona and from Saudi Arabia, but Leipzig are said to be open to a deal being done as long as they receive a suitable offer, with his contract valid until the summer of 2027. According to Ed Aarons, Leipzig want around €50 million for the defender, which is roughly £42 million. This is a copy and paste from Fan Cast website who claim Gomez on verge of signing for Villa for £30M. A few hours of interest if nothing else.

The Standard's predicted Man U team is as follows: : Onana, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot, Casemiro, Mainoo, Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford, Zirkzee Injuries: Yoro, Hojlund, Shaw, Malacia, Lindelof, Mount Some decent players but a feeble attack. I'll be disappointed if we drop any points. -

Booo! No mention of Harvey Elliot, shameful omission of our pre-season star performer. -
It's pointless responding to a question like that, you're either in discussion with a wind-up merchant or a financial half-wit.

Been busy in the transfer market it seems, buying academy cast-offs from Chelsea and City. They now have a young squad. Grav and Elliott for me. Both have been very impressive pre-season. -
Mirror on Line published this today. Luis has his critics but I'm a fan and was pleased to read it. Luis Diaz will stay with Liverpool after Barcelona finally decided to pull the trigger on a move for Dani Olmo. The Reds’ Colombian winger was linked with a move to Catalonia this summer and it was suggested that he was interested in pursuing a switch to Spain. But Diaz’s future now looks to have been decided in what will be a major boost to Liverpool and new boss Arne Slot. The winger, 27, signed for Liverpool from Porto in January 2022. He has since made 98 appearances for the Reds and scored 24 goals in all competitions. Diaz still has three years left to run on his contract at Anfield.

Last summer we bought Mac, Dom and Endo. Mac made an immediate and lasting impact, Dom managed to do so until Xmas and Endo did well when he broke into the team before fading at the season's end. Not all transfers are successful but last year I thought we made a decent effort. Look on the bright side, we could have landed Ciacado.
