  1. It's because their left back is good, their winger is better but their midfield is not up to much.
  2. Sky Sports and Football Insider claiming both Newcastle and ourselves are interested in Bournemouth winger Semenyo. Can't say I've noticed him, but 4 Premiership goals in 12 games this season is decent. Have to wonder if we are serious and the rumour is not a scare story fed by the club to encourage Mo to sign.
  3. New manager bumble, it wont last long.
  4. They were, but Dibling had a terrific game on the wing for Southampton. If Saints are relegated he will be transfer of the summer. Still a teenager apparently.
  5. I suspect the issue is the length of contract, with his agent wanting a longer offer than two years. If that's the case I can understand the clubs reluctance to make an offer that would tie Mo to us after his 35th birthday on a wage of several hundred grand per week. Mo is a footballer with a limited shelf-life, not a giant redwood that lives for hundreds of years.
  6. Read recently that Bobby Clark is having a good season at Red Bull Salzburg. Clark is a first team regular and one of his midfield colleagues praised his work ethic and technical ability. I recall Newcastle being upset when he left them to join us. Sorry he didn't cut it at Anfield but pleased to know he's doing well.
  7. After a near 20 year membership I'm about a year away from my millennial contribution. I'll organise a KFC and Kylie party to celebrate the august event. You and Ombusam are not invited unless you change your ways and see the light.
  8. Gethin's getting sadder with every missive, he deserves to be encouraged.
  9. As I sad: A saddo!
  10. Pair of saddo's who lived an empty life. Condolences to both.
  11. Trent has a slight knock and Mac suffered from a nasty late tackle in the 88th minute against Peru which eared his assailant a yellow card. Mac played on but it is likely both will be on the bench against Saints as a precaution. I read these reports on various Internet sources so they must be true.
  12. I sincerely hope so Pal, ABUism brings out the best in a man and deserves to be encouraged.

  14. The penalty was bogus but MU lost. Michael seems like a man of the cloth to me and welcomed to the fold.

  16. From Football Den site: In a bold and unexpected move, former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has launched a scathing critique of Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti over what he perceives as an unethical approach to player recruitment. Klopp, known for his passionate and outspoken nature, has accused Ancelotti of exploiting Liverpool’s scouting efforts by signing players the German had identified as potential stars during his tenure at Anfield. Speaking during a press conference, Klopp did not mince his words, describing Ancelotti’s transfer dealings as detrimental to the sport. “He’s signing all the players I instructed Liverpool to sign before I left,” Klopp said. “But this very last one—I won’t watch him get the deal done. Something must be done now.” The remarks underscore Klopp’s frustration with Real Madrid’s transfer strategy, which he believes undermines the integrity of long-term team-building efforts. The comments came in the wake of reports suggesting that Real Madrid had secured personal terms with a player believed to be Liverpool’s top transfer target. While the player’s identity remains under wraps, speculation is rife that the move could significantly disrupt Liverpool’s future plans. For Klopp, the timing and nature of Madrid’s actions appear to be the final straw, prompting him to call for intervention at the highest levels of football governance.
  17. They insert a folded lens which opens after a short while. The lens is indestructible and lasts for life. The op takes 30 minutes and you don't feel a thing.
  18. Didn't realise you know my good woman.
  19. Dunno, can't tell. Townies and City folk all look the same to me. Trainers, hoodies and Ben Sherman shirts, you can't distinguish one from the other.
  20. Definitely worth it Murph, my eyesight is incredible. Still need glasses for reading but for viewing distances the improvement is amazing. For the improvement it's made I would have paid double. Reckon 10 miles North, where men are men and sheep have love bites on their neck, judging by your missives over the years.
  21. The time depends on which Health Authority you live in. My HA is impoverished and hasn't got the funds. I know of one acquaintance who has been waiting 11 years for the cataract op and still hasn't been given a date. The irony is we both live in the Aneurin Bevan Heath Board Authority, named after the man who founded the NHS. ,
  22. I read on a click bate thread Fulham made an offer for the Greek which the club have accepted in principle. Tsimikas was said to be happy with the terms and the prospect of regular football. Could well be BS, but there may be something in it.
  23. I had a cataract op earlier in the year, best thing I've done for ages. 10 year waiting list on the NHS and my sight was getting worse by the week. Cost £6K for private surgery yet well worth the money, it's now like having telescopes in my eyeballs. Problem was, after having the second eye sorted I suffered temporary blindness on three occasions. I explained it to the eye surgeon who gave me the builders excuse: nothing to do with me – you need to see a doctor. The surgeon was correct, the blindness was caused by three minor strokes which diverted blood intended for the eyeball to the brain. Fair play to the NHS, within a week I'd had multiple tests, my neck slashed open, gunge in the jugular removed and a scar on my neck that Tony Montana would envy. To hell with the stroke, my eyesight is so good I'm applying for the David Coote vacancy.
  24. I would prefer to see us use Gomez as an understudy for Bradley rather than buy a replacement for Trent. If we are going to buy a defender, a long term replacement for Robbo and/or Virgil might be the better option.
