Pedro is some player, his first touch when surrounded by opponents is awesome. He may not have the sharpest shot but he's a class act.

Seems fair, after all they appear to have a choice of Maguire or Martinez. Out of a sense of decency we'll have to start with 10 men if they select both. -

Jesse Linguard is the last MU player to score at Anfield, way back in 2016. Probably Brexits finest achievement. -
I can't see us selling anyone in January but this is what Teamtalk are reporting: AC Milan is reportedly in talks with Liverpool about a potential January move for Darwin Nunez, according to Milan TMN (as relayed by TeamTalk). The Italian side is said to have proposed a €5 million loan fee, with an obligation to buy for €45 million at the end of the season. The offer comes as Liverpool considers parting ways with Nunez, who has struggled to find consistency since his high-profile transfer from Benfica in the summer of 2022. A move to AC Milan could offer Nunez a chance to revive his career in Serie A, where his physicality and direct playing style might thrive. Milan is eager to strengthen its attacking options as it aims for both domestic and European success. The proposed loan deal would allow both clubs to evaluate the arrangement before committing to a permanent transfer. Although Nunez’s raw potential is clear, Liverpool seems open to letting the 24-year-old leave, with transfer expert David Lynch reporting that a departure from Anfield at the end of the season is likely. If Milan’s offer is accepted, Nunez could move as early as January, marking the end of a tumultuous chapter at Liverpool and the beginning of a new opportunity at AC Milan.

Ipswich 15 points after 19 games, Everton 17 points after 18 games. Best of all, after 19 games MU on 22 points, only 7 above Ipswich.

If we are going to sign a LB it seems like a choice between Fulhams Robinson or Kerkez, with Kerkez being favourite due to his links to Hughes. Not sure who is the better player.
-
Jammie Carragher recommends Kerkez: Among Bournemouths standout players is Kerkez, who moved to the Vitality in 2023 from AZ in a deal worth around £15million. The 21-year-old has proven his worth both defensively and offensively, with Carragher greatly impressed by the Hungarian international: ‘Kerkez has been a revelation at Bournemouth. The technical director who brought him to Bournemouth ,Richard Hughes, is now the sporting director at Liverpool. ‘Kerkez looks like a full back and he’s aggressive. He’s been superb since he came into the Premier League and is one to watch in the future whether he stays or moves on.’ The defender’s performances have caught the eye of rival clubs, with Liverpool and United making enquiries into his availability and Carragher believes his former side should move sooner rather than later. ‘Left back is definitely an area Liverpool should be looking to strengthen in January,’ the ex-England defender told Sky Sports. ‘Andy Robertson needs help, he’s a Liverpool legend, he’s won the lot, but the amount of games he’s played, playing in a Jurgen Klopp team, constantly just running up and down that wing for five or six years. He needs a little bit of help in that position. ‘Obviously Richard Hughes must know that player [Kerkez) really well and really likes him. I’m sure he’ll know his contract situation seeing as he probably did the contract for him. ‘Liverpool didn’t do too much business in the summer but that’s an area that they have to rectify in January rather than wait until the summer.’ Kerkez’s contract runs until 2028 and Bournemouth will surely resist temptation to sell him next month given the form that they are on, meaning a summer transfer is a more likely option. However, the full-back himself fuelled speculation that a move to Anfield is possible after sending a message to Hungary teammate and Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai. After scoring in the Reds’ 6-3 win at Tottenham on Sunday, the midfielder posted on Instagram: ‘Merry Xmas, Reds!’, to which Kerkez replied ‘Magic my brother.’

I wonder if there is a demand for that sort of thing on You Tube. The season's best and worst pundit prediction league featuring the usual bunch on the telly and radio plus the maestros in the national press. Not just the Prem champions and relegation predictions but the nonsense remarks they come out with, such as Nevilles claim MU would finish above Liverpool after the 3-0 result in game 3. Mark Goldberg, a Forest supporter, has apparently made £3M out of his MU ravings. A bloke with a big personality or a stunning blonde with the gift of the gob, who are funny and offensive, could well find a captive audience for a weekly update of the likelihood of pundits considered expert opinions coming true. Contempt for media luvvies is widespread on Fans Forums. I'm sure there's a market for ridiculing them.

Neville is not improving his forecasting skills either, as this Mirror quote of 19th Dec illustrates: Gary Neville backs Arsenal to beat Liverpool FC to Premier League title: "I’m going to go with Arsenal on the basis that I think they’ll hit their form. They’ve got a decent run of fixtures over Christmas, I think they’ll get within a couple of points, a few points, and I think they will hit their form in the new year and I do think they will win the league this season." It may prove to be true but you just know it's not insight, just bile inspired deluded hope. Gonna luv watching him wilt.

Grav has played in every Prem game so far. I would give him a break against Leicester to keep him fresh for West Ham. They will give us a far harder game than Spurs. -
Sad Cafe on auto destruct mode. Sell Bruno, send Mainoo out on loan, bring back Rashford, hang the DJ. Their match thread is a wonderful read.

Their centre halves are too short and that goalie is poor on a good day. Whatever they may offer us, I hope we never sell them Kelleher. -
MU won. If ET phones home, tell him to f**k off.

Which Robbie Savage describes as, "brilliant".

Watching MU playing someone or other. MU just gone a goal behind. I love Xmas.

16 year-old Rio Ngumoha plays left wing for the academy who dribbles with the ball for fun. Anfield Watch claims he regularly gives our first team defenders a hard time in practice matches. A future star to replace Doak at Boro it seems.

They are not the best side we've played this season but they only lost 1 -0 to RM in their previous game. Hope they don't score first. -
