  1. Curtis getting a lot of flack, thought he was our best player in that half. Trent and Darwin playing well too.
  2. VAR , you can do it.

  4. Seems like clutching at straws to me Hass. The forum is full of fears about their defence, disappointment over the midfield and pride in that attack. What surprised me was the lack of praise for Caicedo. From what I've seen of Chelsea he seems far more influential this season than last but he is hardly mentioned while Enzo is their rich man's Nabby Keita, worse than useless according to most. The absence of Fofana, Cucurella and the injury prone Lavia is to our obvious advantage and I would be amazed if we don't win.
  5. Some hopes and fears from the Shed End Forum. MacAllister a doubt. Tsimikas also a doubt. Madueke running Robertson ragged all game and then subbing Neto on. Robertson is no better a defender than TAA. The difficulty will be putting him in positions where he has to defend so I hope we can get some decent possession. Id be amazed if Nkunku comes in for Jackson. Nico’s pace on the break will be vital. Id like to see Lavia get at least half an hour as I can’t see the manager dropping Enzo. I probably wouldn’t start Sancho. Whoever gets the nod at left back might need a bit more help than Sancho gives. I’m Mudryk’s biggest critic but I’d maybe start him ahead of Neto on the left (I was sick in my mouth as I typed that). Having said all that I’d imagine Maresca will only change Wes and Cucu with Tosin and Vincent from the last game. For such a basket case of a club it’s becoming worryingly easy to pick our line up. 3-1 Chelsea (Jacko 2, Palmer) If we give away a goal by passing around at the back in the face of that Liverpool press, I'll have a breakdown. I'm confident though that Maresca will have considered the dangers . Maybe we can f**k around with the ball at the back and make it work to our advantage? Grow a pair Marasca drop Enzo and play Lavia One good thing is that Liverpool cant field Anthony Taylor We'll be 3rd with a win tomorrow. Come on Chelsea!! There's only two little things that worry me. Our Defence. Our Keeper 2-3 Chelsea. My alphabet soup is rarely wrong. A draw there would be a result! It would be nice to beat Liverpool. Long over due. Most unlikely to happen, especially playing in scouse land, but it would be very nice. Forest beat them at home. I'm not sure why we as fans are so cautious, we're favourites here imo. Wouldn't necessary call us favorites, but we are facing them at a good time. They lost to Forrest after the international break. A mid block, counter attacking game is going to frustrate the hell out of them. I think that's the right gameplan with preferably Lavia + Caicedo partnering. If Enzo ends up playing Christ almighty he will need to step it up. Pretty sure we aint favourites. We have the firepower up front, that is always a good thing, we can sore goals (if you remember under Potter you just felt that we could never score, would never score, it was a horrible feeling). So we can score, that is for sure. BUT we are without Wes and we are without Cucu and our defence is not great at the best of times. The dynamism of Liverpool's midfield in their build up is my biggest worry. Hence why I think Maresca will continue with a mid block so they can't easily by pass us. If Enzo is going to continue on playing as he has then he'll once again just be redundant. Tosin and Veiga starting over Wes and Cucu means god is looking down on us. Advantage Chelsea. I think if Jackson is dropped (although I do enjoy him skinning Konate when they meet) then you have to play both Madueke + Neto on the wings to replace the directness Jackson offers in comparison to Nkunku who likes the ball to feet. It is good that there are a few optimists amongst us pessimists! In a way I am optimistic. If we can counter like we have done in games this season and Palmer has one of his unplayable days, we will cause the dippers problems. But I think we will miss Cucurella. He has done well against the likes of Saka and think he would have kept Salah quiet whereas Veiga does look very iffy when players are running at him. Also worry about starting Enzo and then Sanchez and his dithering on the ball and just know Liverpool will target both of those. I think this one is in the balance, neither team have blown away this season yet, obviously they are slightly more consistent than us at home. I hope our players are well up for this whoever is selected. I think Nkunku would be a good shout over Jackson, tie VVD (the most overrated player off all time, turns like an oil tanker!) up in knots. Salah, especially at home, is still their main man, so there's our starter for 10 on the tactics front. There is no point in any of our forwards competing in the air with VVD and Konate. When we are defending set pieces we need Tosin and Veiga on those two. Nkunkus balloon celebration in front of The Kop would break the Internet.
  6. That's certainly true. Didn't realise there was bad blood between you pair, assumed once said - soon forgotten. Shame he's gone, Swipe was good for a laugh.

  8. Swipe. When we were struggling to overtake Arsenal and The Cheats he was on here every day, encouraging the team to triumph. Now we are top of the league, he's vanished. The conclusion is obvious. Swipe is either Jurgen Klopp or a closet Man U fan. The cad.

  11. Gordon and I have one thing in common: We both want to play for Liverpool but neither of us is good enough.
  12. I think that’s one of the most positive things I see in this team, that even if a player comes in five to seven minutes – such a big player, captain of his country coming in five minutes before the end – I sometimes at certain clubs or certain other teams I see then a player coming in a bit like, ‘You only use me for five or seven minutes?’ But if you look at how Wata came in – how good he was on the ball but also the second balls he won – he had only in these seven minutes a very good impact. I think that tells you a lot about the team cohesion but definitely also about the person – in this situation, Wata. That with only playing five minutes he gives that performance, that says a lot about him as a person but also a lot about the team cohesion.
  13. Gave you an Up Vote for spelling Marmadashvili with the correct pronunciation.
  14. Sky Sports just said Arsenal had only one attempt on target in the first half. The Cheats are 1-1 against Fulham. This could be a glorious weekend.
  15. Anyone streaming Arsenal v Saints? It's nearly H-T and still goalless. What's going on there?
  16. ..........sure plays a mean pin-ball.
  17. Jaros played well on the pre season USA tour, especially in the game against MU when he pulled off a wonder save. The lad did well today but, having spent all that money on a new keeper in the Summer, I doubt if he has a long term future at the club. All those years watching Mingolet and we now appear to have four decent keepers on the books. Football is crazy, all these years watching the game and I'll never understand it.
  18. I thought he said Bologna were the better side despite the result. That said, you have sown a seed a doubt. It was late at night and I'd had a few by then.
  19. That's what I thought. I never thought we looked like losing the game, despite Ally's heroics. A BBC pundit on last night's CL review programme said Bologna were the better side, his two fellow talking heads didn't contradict him. All three pundits were new faces to me, You Tube must be having a sale.
