Pedro for me. Not the sharpest in front of goal but wonderful ball control and a pleasure to watch.

Man City 0 - Liverpool 2 From the Guardian web site; All the plaudits will be heading to Dominik Szoboszlai after Liverpool's victory over Pep Guardiola's side but the Hungarian was not the only one who caught the eye among the Reds' midfielders. Liverpool signed the Argentine Alexis Mac Allister for just £35m from Brighton (The Guardian) in what could prove to be the bargain of the century. It definitely was based on the game against Man City. Mac Allister played both Nico Gonzalez and Kevin De Bruyne off the park with his brilliant showing. The City duo who cost a combined 105m barely saw the ball and that's largely down to Mac Allister's brilliance. As the player ratings review wrote: 'Took the corner which led to Liverpool's opener. Kept things ticking in the middle of the park despite City having the lion's share of possession. Tracked back relentlessly and covered almost every blade of grass on the pitch.' That very succinctly summarises Mac Allister's absolute supreme brilliance. Something maybe we haven't really seen under Slot, definitely saw it last season under Jurgen Klopp. But now Mac Allister looks to have been unleashed under the Dutchman as well. And let's not put it lightly, the fact that he played both Gonzalez and De Bruyne off the park was an incredible feat. These are players City invested a lot of money into. Players who are in their own right excellent but they were ineffective on Sunday afternoon. Guardiola was so frustrated that he substituted both of them before the final whistle. Mac Allister though, stayed on and was a pivotal role in Liverpool's victory. This is the kind of performance that will live long in the memory. The kind of performance that proves he is worth much more than just £35m but perhaps even £105m if he can keep players of that value at bay.

From Blue Moon after the match; I am starting to hate that fat Bruce Willis lookalike Slot as much as Klippety.

Virgil and Ibou for me. Won every header, blocked every pass. Ali only had one serious shot to save. Both were terrific. -

Robbo having a great game too. If you can't tackle, foul. Works every time. -

Konate too. Him and Virgil have won every header and blocked all the low crosses. Terrific display by both. -
A gorgeous looking Sky Sports reporter just said while there is no news regarding the Mo contract, talks are still, "on going behind the scenes". That's a tonic for me because I had the feeling Mo decided to leave for the riches of Saudi but wouldn't announce it until the seasons end. No insight for this view, just bracing myself for the worst. The Sky report is more uplifting than yesterdays Arsenal result. A good weekend so far.

Cobs Fiver Challenge. Will we start with four midfielders again or resort to an attacking front three? Midfield four for me in a difficult away game, thought it worked quite well against Villa despite Grav not joining in. -
Idealist! A draw is a decent result. Puts us 9 points ahead having played a game more, plus the advantage of a significant goal difference. It's a strong position with only 11 games to play. I'd settle for that.

Must be a boost to the squad knowing a draw tomorrow is a now a good result. Eases the pressure on them and us.

Forever bubbling blowubbles.

One goal to rule them all, one goal to find them, one goal to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Just came across this on FB, which is worth sharing; Spurs striker Brennan Johnson has started dating adult film actress Lily Phillips, who set a world record last December by sleeping with 101 men in 24 hours. The first response was; Can you imagine the shame of her parents to discover she's dating a Spurs player?

Nah, Dom played a good pass to a striker, bypassed the keeper and created an open goal. It was a very poor miss by Darwin. -
Who let the dogs out? Who killed c**k Robin? If two days ago yesterday was tomorrow, what day is it today?

It seems both Arne and Pep are resting their key player for Sundays encounter. Diaz not starting for us, Haarland on the bench for City against RM. -

Seems cautious, especially with Diaz and Darwin on the bench. -

I'm very confident of a win. They have injury problems, especially in defence, which is a further boost. -

Villa park is a good ground for us. Just read, since 1992 we have won there on 16 occasions and only lost 6. Long my it continue. -

Mark Goldbridge, on the MU defence conceding a goal following a Wolves corner You could go to your local graveyard and find four headstones that would defend better than that.
