  1. As that combination saw us score 84 league goals last season, 14 more than the second highest scoring team, it's not an utterly ridiculous idea. According to Anfield Watch, Arne has said he will rotate the starting 11 more next season to avoid us looking tired in the final quarter. He cited the Carabou cup final as a classic example of fatigue. The site claims he will probably replace Darwin and possibly Chiesa but retain Lucio and Jota, both of whom he rates highly because of their work rate.
  2. Apparently Ronaldo's ambition is to play in the next World Cup tournament. He alluded to it when he recently parted company with his Saudi club. I feel sorry for Jota, Portugal need a stronger manager than Martinez.
  3. A copy & paste re next years UCL; Liverpool’s participation in the Champions League next season will come with a strategic twist, as UEFA confirms a key change to the competition’s knockout format. According to ESPN, the governing body has approved a rule adjustment that will now grant teams who finish higher in the league phase of the competition the right to host the second leg at home throughout the knockout rounds. The change was ratified by UEFA’s club competitions committee in a recent meeting. Last season’s format sent the top eight teams straight to the round of 16 and guaranteed them a home second leg. The quarter-final and semi-final leg orders were subject to a draw. That is no longer the case.
  4. The price quoted for Cherki is £25M, it sounds like an FSG pet project too. A 21 y/o winger can be coached to improve a poor work-rate. At that price I can see why such a talented youngster would appeal to both Arne and Guardiola.
  5. Arne Slot the last time Man United won the Premier League title.
  6. Thank you @Cobs for that tear-jerking accolade. My triumph is a tribute to luck, guesswork and sheer ignorance. I still haven't received the prize-money Fivers, hopefully they are not lost in the post.
  7. Cunha signs for MU - Neville makes United favourites for title.
  8. Sports washing being what it is, I wonder how much he was paid by Qatar to announce that insight live on the telly to such a large audience. Ferdinand may well be thick but he's not stupid when money is involved.
  9. True, but it keeps the league financially viable and rewards well-managed clubs, helping them compete with sugar-daddy and Gulf oil ownerships. Overall it's no bad thing.
  10. The song is about a butch bike, the bicycle in question being a gay man of slack morals who would bed anyone who fancied him. Lennon and McCartney wrote the far superior heterosexual version, Ticket to Ride, decades before.
  11. Sky Sports refused to broadcast the Forest v Chelsea game live on Sunday because their scheduled commentator, Gary Neville, was banned from entering the City ground following comments he made about Forest owner, Evangelos Marinakis, the previous week. Forests fat sugar daddy stormed onto the pitch following a disappointing 2-2 draw with relegated Leicester City to berate the forest manager, an action Neville described as, “scandalous”. Forest re-spun the loutish behaviour of their Greek slob as an act of compassion for Taiwo Awoniyi, who Fatso claimed should have been subbed by the medical team after been injured when he mis-timed a tackle on a goal post. A ludicrous explanation that only a Forest fan would believe. It's a fitting end to a stunning season by Neville. He began by claiming Man U would finish above us in the league following our 3-0 win at OT. He then claimed Spurs would beat us in the semi-final of the Caribou Cup. We won the tie by so many goals I lost count of the score. Where should our sympathies lie, with Neville or the Greek Freak? It's the classic choice between gonorrhoea or syphilis, a pox on both their houses being the obvious sporting mans choice.
  12. Hope Chelsea lose and the others win.
  13. Sky Sports News are reporting the transfer. No mention of Gary Neville. It must be a great week for the man.
  14. Class act in action. Eat ya heart out Sir Jim Ratcliff.
  15. Do you think Villa will offer Rashford a contract? I would be surprised if they did, I don't think he did enough to earn an offer. I'm sure they could do better. That said, seeing Rashford return to MU on his £300K per week salary would rub additional salt into their splendid season. I live in hope.
  16. "The money is gone, the magic is fading". An informative insight in how not to manage a business. Man U are a decent bet for relegation next season.
  17. Your post is a dramatic statistic. If you say, "Man U lost 4 times to Anges Spurs in the same season", it stretches credulity beyond the surrealism of science fiction. Seriously, it's just not possible.
  18. No Champions League or any form of European football for MU next season. A tariff-free financial catastrophe of awesome delight. Thank you Spurs.
  19. It is, but the Spurs centre halves have both played well so far.
  20. Perfect timing, well said that man.
  21. Apart from Mo, Diaz is our best forward. Selling one of Darwin, Jota or Gakpo to finance a replacement is a more sensible option than off-loading our most versatile, and skilful, attacking player.
  22. Any chance of naming the six? That's more than half the team who just won the title by some distance and were eliminated from the CL on a penalty shootout by the odds-on favourites to lift the trophy. I didn't realise Klopp left Slot with such a weak squad to work with.
