Depends, probably not because it didn't fit that particular evening's agenda. He's said in the past either Gerrard's too good for Liverpool, or that he is as overrated as Lampard and he can't see the fuss. He also said at the start of last season, the season that we won the European Cup, that he reckoned Benítez was joining a sinking ship and Liverpool Football Club as we know it was over forever. He reckons now that Benítez is definitely off and that he has "lost the players". Whereas six weeks ago we were the best team in England.

I could see maybe a small problem with Ballack and Lampard in that regard (presuming Lampard stays ), but feck me putting Shevchenko up top is fairly scary and to my untutored eye requires no great accommodating changes. Arsenal would be an acceptable winner for the obvious annoyance it would cause certain other clubs who don't have the luxury of 5 European Cups.
