Yeah, think he was trying to get a reaction that would get him sent off to be honest. He had that yellow very early on. That's the only thing that can explain Ferguson's trip, generously assuming that there was any thinking behind it at all.

Who was Everton's No. 18 went over and tried to reef him up off the ground? Couldn't recognize him on the highlights. Reminded me of the reaction to effete foreigner Luis García's dive on the edge of the box in the Anfield derby last year, the one where he bent his shin in an attempt to make it look like Hibbert had gone over the top of the ball.
