    Seriously? Some manager needs to be asked by a journalist about Ferguson and needs to say that he's been a great manager but it's sad that someone so successful still feels the need to be so petty and vindictive all the f***ing time (someone on here put that better recently). Why don't they do this? It'd sell loads of papers/hits/whatever.

    Giant of a player and manager in the past, giant of a man forever, but he was pretty shattered as manager of Liverpool in the second half of last season, not much of the old charm about him, and something I could never understand was that the players were looking as unmotivated as any of the worst points of the previous two seasons. It wasn't pretty really.

    Yeah that's close to my position on this as well. And I would add that I want the stories about Ferguson having some really horrible disease to be true. Not the one that people get upset about (God forbid). Something worse.
