Flasher

He's very young. Needs to add a bit of Bernardo Silva to his game.

We could have done with Hendo this year. Still could.

Is he not too busy marching in London?

This post from Salah is the biggest tackle from a Liverpool player all season.

I still think Trent would have been best suited to right midfield in a traditional 4-4-2.

But you want Jones to start, right?

The best barometer in these situations is looking at what rival fans want. If Utd fans want us to keep him, that is confirmation he should go. It's like when we wanted Ole to stay at the wheel.. or Ten Haag to stay. Fwiw, Utd fans want us to keep him,.so....

What if Alonso said I'll only come in the summer?

If Alonso is even considering Chelsea then he's not the man I hoped he was.

I'll let you have that one

f*** me it really does. If it turns out Britney has shaved her head and been playing us all along I'm all for it and want her to have 4 more years. Also explains a lot.

He's 17, looking like the most dangerous player on the pitch, for Liverpool, in the Premier League. I'd say he's well ahead of anything he could have imagined. How good will he become.... Diaz, Sterling level? Salah wasn't playing at this level at the same age, so who knows.... I think his development is best as sub ideally, with someone better than Gakpo in front of him that he can learn from.

Yeah, that’s the dilemma It's not actually, I definitely want to see it somewhere else, not here. Chelsea maybe...

Yeah, but i want to know what HIS vision on the pitch it. I still have no idea how he actually sees the game and wants to play, and the s*** journalists won't ask him.

A good chant would be "we don't know what you're doing"

I found his conviction here fascinating. Almost had me believing. Almost. In a weird and twisted way I'd quite like to see what he's talking about, see it play out. I'm still pretty desperate to see and understand what he thinks the team should look and play like. But I'd prefer that to be elsewhere obvs. The fact we are always outrun, and nobody asks him about it, and he seems to be in complete denial about it is truly astonishing .

Awful today wasn't it. We always look so knackered after 60 mins and we haven't even played with any intensity before that to justify it.

No he's not. He's had plenty of time and opportunity to convince coaches he should be a regular starter and hasn't been able to take it. Klopp felt the same about him. That's not to say he shouldn't have played more this year given the form of others. He's gonna move on and it won't be to a club better than us. I'm actually disappointed in him in some ways. Some more determination on and off the pitch, learning to move the ball quicker and he could have changed the picture. His game hasn't changed since he first broke through really.

Agree, too far. As was said at the time, everyone deals with grief in their own way. Robbo was hit everyone hard, nothing Slot could change there. Slot would have had his own emotions too.

Nah, not even close. The drop off without Diaz is massive, the same is not true with Jones. Mental comparison. I used to think Wharton would be a replacement for Macca, but now I think he would be a replacement for Jones, and a massive upgrade it would be.

They had the highest potential though didn't they. Reckon they'll be grand next year.

My issue with Wirtz, Frimpong and Kerkez signings (and I don't particularly dislike any of them) is that they all seem suited to a 3 at the back, wingback formation. Something like a 3-4-1-2 with Ekitike and Isak, and I never want to see this.

Smooth criminal, surely.

He has. At times this season for Bayern he turns up in the 8 and 6 positions..mad how his game has evolved. He's a really good creator these days. Think it was his pass for Diaz great goal vs PSG the other night

Had the two seasons happened the other way round, as we would have expected them to, we'd all be buzzing wouldn't we. However, they didnt, and as others have said the "eye test" gives a very different feel. As does the sound test when he speaks.
