Aso, if Man Utd lose tonight we go 3rd without playing

Just been looking at premier league top scorer table for this season. Hugo in 9th with 11. But more shocking, we only have 2 players in the top 30. Awful.

I doubt Jones wants to be sub anymore, he's at an age where he should be starting every week now. Sadly for him, but for that to be the case he needs to go down a level. He’s not the level we need to start most weeks for us. If he can be convinced to stay anyway then great, it's painful how few local lads or academy prospects we now have.

Pure conjecture at this point. The lack of contracts or delayed contract talks are Hughes/Edwards.

100% As much as many of us want him gone, he's definitely earnt the right to finish the season based on last year, the chnages this year and Jota's situation. As frustrating as it is, I'm very pleased the club is run this way. If they keep him I'll question it, but my assumption is he's done end of season.

Slot sack sounds funny.

Nah, Caicedo would walk into this team. He was their best player this season until Maresca went mad.

Just extended his deal didn't he until 2090, or 2033.. or something.

I think this angers me the most tbh. I bet he's a proper right wing k****ead. Those lot don't get comedy.

It's a no from me then

Competing for PL and CL type standard?

Oh yeah, definitely. Madrid are a basket case as people say. He should never have gone there so early in his management career. Needs a bigger body of work first.

He failed to convince the players. Can argue all day about the egos etc, but he still couldn't convince them. I personally think he went there too early.

Still sacked. It's such a big jump.of expectations. He'll have to handle similar here. His first test of that and he struggled. Not saying he won't work here, just highlighting it could be in some people's thinking.

We do need both

Gordon would give a very significant immediate impact. It's a no brainer going for him if he has a release clause we can afford. I say this having hated him for his cheating, diving for years.

I suspect the way he struggled at Madrid played a part in any change of stance.

That's how I feel. Keep everyone motivated, try and get CL then bang. They would have renewed his contract already if they were keeping him.

Mad price even at €70m

Gordon is proven and ready to go, we should be all over him. We need more than that though, Diomande etc are also required.

I don't want Jones to leave personally. I want him to stay exactly where he is, a squad player. He's not the standard we need in terms of starting say 30+ games in the prem and all CL games. He hasn't really progressed his play in years. But he's a scouser and more than capable back up.

Proper thug him.

Wonderful

Yep. He has no idea how to head properly.

He's very young still, and first season new club, league, country etc. He'll be grand.
