I hope the Charlton chairman is right. I do not rate Bent much. Marcus Stewart scored a lot of goals in one season.......... Then again if he signs I hope I am proved wrong and end up applauding him as he bags goal after goal for us.

Italian media now claiming that Capello will be resigning from Juve later today to take up the Real job.

Rpbbie was to blame for a lot of what went on. I think that he did not take nicely to the new rules etc. that Houllier enforced. His criticism of Thommo is well OTT too. Yes Houllier and Thommo did not treat him ideally e.g. Gary Mac's SMS to Robbie Keane accidentally sent to Fowler, but Fowler's attitude was not good. WTF did he expect from GH if he was leaving insulting messages on his answer phone when Liverpool lost a game. He did the same with Hoddle in the England set up. Fowler was talented, still is. He just thought that a lot of the hard work was done and that he had proved himself under Evans and that he did not need what Houllier was imposing. He was wrong and whilst he did not admit it he still came close to resigning under GH in 2003 and jumped at the chance this year.

Zenden will stay I think. He was doing OK when he got injured. He can fill in centrally and with Didi likely to leave he will get more chance to do so.

Well he may have other options and I still think he will probably leave. Would be great if he stayed though.

Pity to miss out on Alves as he seemed to be well rated by Rafa. If Trabelsi's knee is that bad I am sure it will be diagnosed in the medical. 4 gambles by Rafa in Aurelio, Trabelsi, Bellamy and Pennant. However for a total transfer kitty of less than 10m it makes sense. Remember we spent 10m on da Serial Killer...........

I always laught at them. If they lose I laugh, if they win I can tell them it is due to the corruption, drugs etc.

I remember laughing at my Juventus supporting friends when they bought a certain Zidane and days later he went to Euro 96 and played very badly. The rest is history. Not saying that Kuyt is Zidane but based on 3-4 games one cannot really comment. It is not his usual team etc. etc. I have seen little of him so I cannot judge, but the ones who can judge are those who have seen a fair bit of him at club level.
