  1. It was a piss take I thought.
  2. I thought Harry was alright, agreed about the rest. Sami had a total stinker, must've had the s***s again Dreadful 1st half but made up for it. Relieved doesn't begin to describe it.
  3. I reckon he's one of the better refs in general.Everyone has their off days
  4. It will help us concentrate on the league.
  5. I know a west ham season ticket holder thinks Anton is one of the most over rated young players in the country. Not really watched him closely meself.
  6. It's all about squad depth. Their strength defence isn't too hot, it's not just central midfield. Silvestre isn't good enough, Wes 'Ive been tangoed' Brown cant be relied upon just due to his injuries and Camel face goes missing too regularly. So that leaves Neville and Heinze along with dross like O'Shea. Vidic and Evra will improve their squad definitley. I can only imagine Whiskey nose's midfield targets aren't availible at the moment so he has to wait till the Summer but that doesn't mean he has no plans on filling the gaps.
  7. Why do clubs allow a player to agree terms with a club before they accept a fee for him?
  8. Curbishley has probably reached the peak though hasn't he. Apart from the FA Cup it's unlikely he's going to achieve anything greater with Charlton. He'll get money from Shepherd aswell. He's a manager I really like though and would be a good choice for Newcastle i think.

  10. More from Djib's interview on SSN from 7pm apparently

    Anyone know

In terms of the league we're 6th overall I think for 2005.
  12. The tabloids always go with the sensationalist story and usually jump on the bandwagons as quickly as possible. I dont think the press coverage from the broadsheets has been as bad as many make out. When we've been dire (and at times last season, even this we were) but when say we beat Juve or Chelsea we received huge credit for it.
  13. Shame no one got a photo of Gerrard celebrating Cisse's goal, he was bursting into the box when Cisse was about to shoot and when he scored just carried on his run celebrating in front of the s****
  14. Sami looked a bit off the pace from the word go last night. Maybe it was just me though? He had a tough game last night and playing against Shearer for 90 minutes isn't easy, however much it may look it. I'd be tempted to give him a rest vs WBA as we'll need him on top form against Bolton in particular.
  15. All 10 of them, yup. Bit of a shambles it got called off so late though. If the pitch was able to be cleared and played on why were fans allowed to travel to the game on dangerous roads before the game called off? Big c**k up by someone.
  16. Don't even joke about it
  17. Loved how Lawro said, good or bad performance, there's always 5 or 6 highlights from Rooney's game and they showed two clips.
  18. A lot of huff and puff but in terms of incisive football there was none really. You can see why they struggle for goals so much.
  19. Definitley. First half was quite patchy, seemed to completely take the foot off the pedal after we scored but I suppose Everton were so s**** we did all we needed to and responded with a 3rd goal at the best possible time. We did look a bit vulnerable to the long ball tonight but after 2 tough games (Derby and playing vs Shearer & Owen), hopefully a nice easy game against WBA and maybe a rest for Carra or Sami.
  20. Kewell was lucky to not receive a 2nd yellow but he shouldnt have received the first one after Arteta the cheeky b*****d knocked the ball down with his hand. Neville's sending off was fair I think although Cisse/Momo seemed to make a meal of the tackles but both were daft and Arteta's 2nd yellow was unlucky too. He seemed ok in the first half but someone mustve pissed him off at HT as he was s**** in the 2nd half and couldnt wait to get the card out.
  21. Yup. We barely broke into a sweat tonight, walked the game with ease. Cisse had a good game too and the finish for the goal was superb, great night.
  22. Not really in the game in the first half but still gave us balance and an outlet on the left. Was much better in the 2nd and linked up with Warnock well. A good game again
  23. We were 30 points off Arsenal but a large chunk of that was due to Owen, despite being our top goalscorer and injured for a lot of the season, missing penalties and other chances? So, taking it a step farther, Houllier lost his job because of Owen's [lack of] ability infront of goal and therefore Benitez is only at the club - and we're European champions - as a result of Owen's failure to put away chances so we should be eternally grateful to him i.e. which is what Samuel is saying in his article Owen wasn't as good in his last season with us as previous seasons but Houllier's insistance on bringing him back so quickly after injury (same with Kewell iirc) after Christmas didn't help. He only lasted a few games before aggrevating the injury I think. Funny how the original injury however was as a result of him falling badly on his ankle (?), against Arsenal at home, when he was closing down an Ashley Cole clearance down by the corner flag. Certainly showed plenty of fight then. That's football for you. Gerrard, Alonso and Hamann totally pissed over the Arsenal midfield last year at home but Mellor got man of the match. Similar thing with Gerrard vs Olympiacos. It's the nature of football.
  24. I loved his "I am here to win trophies, not to learn English" line
  25. I've seen a short clip of it somewhere, buggered if I can remember where though. BBC Sport may have it.
