Maldini

His song should probably be to the tune of Alouette shouldn't it

Yeah, we've set ourselves up very well in that regard, we can afford to do the business we've done, and more. It seems like any sales from here are creating PSR space for next summer's moves

I reckon we get Guehi but we might have to play a bit of transfer deadline day chicken with Palace.

If we sign Fofana we should give him the 95 shirt

Gibbs-White staying at Forest, signed a new deal. I could see Spurs going for Elliott

He's 29 in a few months though, his value is about to fall off a cliff

Fofana is a great signing for Everton unfortunately

Never heard that before, that's an interesting twist, where'd you see that?

Newcastle have made an absolute balls of this haven't they, no matter what happens now. They'll either force him to stay and be left with an unhappy player or they'll let him go and have to sign a centre-forward after all the top players on the market have already signed for other teams. David and Osimhen would have been excellent replacements for them but now they'll probably have to pay more for Sesko who's a bigger risk. It just shows you can't really operate properly in modern football without a director of football

I think we'll see Szob in the front three a bit. He played wide for Leipzig more than through the middle.

Been off here all day, just catching up. I was looking forward to 20 pages of fish puns, what's all this transfer nonsense?

Arsenal still haven't signed Gyokeres, are they waiting to see how the Isak thing pans out?

Nah, he's not even a CB, he's a midfielder that's been converted to a RB. I think we'd look at Nallo first if we were in a crisis

Yeah there'd be an element of risk alright but there always is with young players. As good as our recruitment has been over the last few years I think the one area we've been poor in is getting the best 18/19 year olds who are about to become elite, he's definitely one of them. He played 36 games at CB for Ajax season before last too. He's another shorty though at only 6'

We were heavily linked in January and early in the summer. He's as comfortable at LB as he is at CB. He's a huge prospect, will be a very good signing for Chelsea if they get him

Chelsea in talks for Hato

Bit of talk that Zabarnyi's move to PSG has broken down with Spurs being linked now. I wonder if we'd be interested. Fee of £60m+ might be a bit rich for us

This worked with Yoro in the end didn't it? Us and Real were acting reasonably and United barged in throwing €200 notes in the air offering twice the wages. Not sure they can flash the cash as brazenly these days though. Estupiñan off to Milan for €17m+2m in add-ons. Seems like a very low fee and I'm surprised bigger teams weren't interested

Talk of Atalanta bidding €12m for Chiesa. Seems low but maybe we'd take it to get his wages off the books

He's not completely s***e or anything, he'll do a job for them. He's another Trossard really isn't he. It's more about the opportunity cost for them. For not that much more money they could get Gordon, Rodrygo, Leao and others. It's a very Arsenal move, they've lots of good footballers but not enough great ones

Saka's really good and probably not far off but is he actually top 5 in the league good at the moment? I think h's probably on the way but he hasn't shown himself to be the best in the world in his position like Salah, VVD, Rodri, Alisson etc

Newcastle fans have always been weird about us, it seemed to be routed in us still being classed as a bigger club despite their stadium being bigger for years Haaland is just weird, he's out on a list on the list of best player in the league who actually s***e but he can't be because of his numbers. Gonna be an expensive engraving on his trophy

If we got Rodrygo I think we'd have 4 of the 5 best players in the league in VVD, Salah, Wirtz and him. Rodri's the other one FWIW. I think he's been really good for Madrid while playing out of position and not being a real priority. He'd be even better for us I think. His numbers playing his natural position show that too. In the last three years he's played there 22 times (not all starts) and has 9 goals and 9 assists or a goal and assist every 74 mins, Salah's record last season was a goal or assist every 78 mins in all comps.

Nothing But The Best Will Do

5 goals and 2 assists in 10 starts, 2 sub appearances in the CL last season, 6 goals, 6 assists in 22 starts and 8 sub appearances in the league. They're not bad really, especially considering he's been moved around to accomodate others in the squad. Goal or assist every 161 mins in the league Goal or assist every 125 mins in the Champions League For comparison Diaz was : Goal or assist every 120 mins in the league Goal or assist every 157 mins in the league
