It was fairly obvious that the emotions he "showed" against Gala were performative and mostly fake, but there was some uncertainty.
Saw some comments (on Reddit etc) saying it was a positive thing, helped get the crowd going, so regardless, it was a net positive imo.
But apparently he did an interview to Dutch media where he confirmed it was just that, he knew Gala would be play acting and didn't think the officials would listen to him otherwise. Now, there's a certain irony in that...but even when he "does" the right thing he can't help himself.
He should have just taken the win (from multiple angles) but nope, had to tell everyone how "smart" he was .
Anyways, good win for us, let's see what happens against Brighton.
