I'm okay with listening to people talk tactics, Rafa for example, could listen to him talking about such things for hours. It's just with Slot there appears to be a huge disconnect between what he says and what we've been seeing for months. He spends a lot of time deflecting blame and lowering expectations when he should be doing the opposite.

Guehi would have been a good addition, defensively sound, but moreso for his ability to pass out from the back. He's great on the ball, something we have struggled with since the departure of Trent.

We've let them grow in confidence, too passive without the ball.

His energy / pressing helped cover alot of Slots deficiencies last season. The fact that Slot thought he could drop him for Wirtz is yet another indictment of Slots tactical acumen.

They clearly feel that they know better and our opinions are just "noise", in some part I expect they don't want to show they can be pressured into making certain decisions. They should probably use some of that intellect to remember that we have eyes.

I know he's had a mixed season but him renewing is a good thing imo, it looks like another summer of change is ahead and at least this will provide some continuity. He's great when on form, I think it's difficult to judge any player under our current coach.

It makes little sense to me, but it feels like they're determined not to go down the interim route.
