Some of the stuff on Merson here is a bit harsh. The guy is a terrible addict, doin ghis best to hold it together, I wouldn't feel comfortable ripping the piss out of him on that score. His chuckle, although immensely irritating, resulted in a full apology. Anyone else on Sky done that while sneering their way through a match or preview on us? Don't think so. He was a fabulous player, used to scare the s*** out of me when we played them above anyone else in the Arsenal team. Don't think he's too bad to be honest. Cheers mate. Took me to my first ever game, which was all I could think about on the way to the pub tonight, what more of a gift could I have been given?! Football and LFC means such a lot to people, its been trivialised in the wake of Nick Hornby (who wanted to do the opposire in fairness. Anyway, a sad day made glorious. Walk on.
