When we’ve looked poor the last few seasons, it’s nearly always coincided with Hendo being out.
Which just goes to further the point we’ve needed another top class midfielder to add drive and energy for f***ing ages. I’d say at least 2 and a half seasons.
The only thing I can possible criticise Jurgen for is having too much belief in some of the midfielders we’ve got now. That’s what gets him the results that he does when we’re flying ironically, his belief in players drives them to better things. But I think hoping Ox would get over his injuries, that Keita would stop being unreliable and that Elliot was ready to take on the burden of a fuller role are why is undoing us.
None of that would be an issue if he’d had better backing and more ambition from the owners. They’re always lurking in the background, pinching pennies and stunting the growth n the field.
