Hightown’s full of s*** on this and always has been. (He’s good on other stuff though). There’s an article for someone to write about every time FSG have been too f***ing clever by half and not signed another player in a window and we’ve missed out because of it. It’s the one area where they’ve been consistent. Even in Kenny’s last season (when we were admittedly dreadful and kept hitting the woodwork) we were absolutely threadbare in midfield, I think Lucas was filling in for pretty much everyone and we weren’t far off top 4. They signed no one and it got even worse. Im still annoyed about, should probably let it go .

Absolute disgrace of a referee. -
Something we were getting from him the other night that I hadn't really thought about was how much he seemed to be talking the young lads through the game. Saw him do it with Elliot, Carvalho, Gomez and Nunez at various different times. Depends if he wants one more big payday, but if the numbers are right, I think we could use him for a couple more years. His technical ability still makes my jaw drop at times, he did it a few times against Rangers. Think he's probably really good to have in the dressing room as well, he's a real character.

Funnily enough I watched the highlights of the other CL games after and the Mig had a worldie. Couldn't believe what I was seeing! -

So would I. FSG cashing in. Signed up to a big contract to protect his value in the summer. It's a mad shout and probably nonsense. Crossed my mind after that Arsenal game where I don't think I've ever seen him play so miserably. -

Do you think he knows he's off in Jan? Was thinking about it this morning. And whether if the other players knew, it might explain why they've not been turning up. He only looked like the old Mo when he scored his third tonight. -

Not the same team though tonight. Not even half of it. These look like they’ve not really played together cos they haven’t, and a few look rusty because they are. Need to grind it out for a few weeks and get to the World Cup. Hard to watch and frustrating but this is where we are unfortunately. -

7 in 9 from 5 starts apparently. f***ing love him. -
Completely agree. Almost blew the league before putting a run together that was by the skin of our teeth. Didn't play particularly well in any of the three finals and were lucky to come away with two trophies. Looked absolutely shattered the last month or so as well. Which begs the question, if the owners (and maybe the management team) couldn't see we were shattered and needed re-inforcements, how could most of the sane fanbase (and the lunatics)?

Glad it’s not just me. My brother is the same. Just can’t seem to get back as obsessed. Weird feeling. -

Slept on it, and in years gone by it would have been the first thing I thought about when I woke up. It wasn’t this morning. I know a few of us talked about it earlier in the season, but for whatever reason, I’m still not over last year. Bit concerned my 40+ year old obsession with football isn’t what it used to be. Obviously being s*** isn’t helping, but is anyone else still just not feeling this season? Wondering if it’s the equivalent of completing GTA3 but still having those coins to collect. One for the kids there. -

Yeah. Said he couldn’t understand why Oliver didn’t review the penalty or the handball in the first half. In short, the ref was an absolute homer. Which he was. -

We certainly didn’t look like we had the legs to force it. Which has been the issue all season. The lack of transfers screwed us before the season started. -

They’ve had an easier run of games. Still didn’t think they were all that. We handed that to them today as well. -
