  1. He’s decent but not on the left wing. It’s where a lot of our play ends. He just constantly cuts inside and runs into traffic. I think he’s having a bad season because every defender in the PL knows what he’s going to do now. It’s infuriating to watch.
  2. I’d rather us play Robbo on the left than Gakpo. If we’re going to play Gakpo then at least play him in the middle.
  3. I guess it depends how much the potential new guy wants the job. Sticking with Slot would mean we likely won’t have CL football next season which would mean a massive deficit in transfer funds. We’re already short on player numbers and quality so it wouldn’t be the most enticing job to take on.
  4. Well Slot clearly has his favourites. It’s all very subjective but I think Gakpo is abysmal on the left wing. Rio obviously isn’t the finished article but he at least shows some promise in the precious few moments he’s afforded on the pitch. Neither should be regular starters though.
  5. You’d have to ask Slot about that
  6. Our current form is shocking so let’s hope the powers that be are working on bringing Xabi back ohm to us.
  7. He’s better than Gakpo on the left wing but Gakpo always gets the nod ahead of him.
  8. I think it’s clear at this point that Slot isn’t the answer to our issues. It may not be Alonso either but we can’t afford to do nothing.
  9. He must be the easiest player to defend against when he plays on the left. He won’t pass to Kerkez on the overlap so you just need stay on the inside of him waiting for the inevitable cut in and faux shots until he runs out of space.
  10. The poor sod has been completely ignored by Slot and he’s just back from injury then he had to play out of position. Ironically Endo was about the only positive to come out of that shower of s*** yesterday.
  11. If there is another head coach that’s available then we really need to act now to get them in. They will surely want to be in the CL next season and the extra funds for transfers that would bring. We’re at a point where we are risking going backwards and not recovering any time soon.
  12. He’s turned into a narky Colin Robinson.
  13. Slotball is s***. We should be passing the ball for a reason not for the sake of it. Our build up is slow, ponderous and mistake laden. It’s the continual same s***, different day syndrome. He isn’t fixing this and top 4 is becoming more of a risk with every passing game he remains in charge.
  14. That seems way too obvious for our decision makers
  15. And we haven’t procrastinated enough yet. We need to give it another year to decide whether we want to get Xabi in or not.
  16. It really does feel we’ve regressed massively on and off the pitch since Klopp left. We at least knew back then that Jürgen would sort whatever the problem was. Now everyone seems to be the problem.
  17. When the ball hits his head and ends up in row Z, that’s Konate.
  18. The very few times Ramsey has played for us he looked absolutely fine - and very Scottish. It’s all well and good Slot only wanting to use players he trusts but he doesn’t have that luxury so he really needs to learn to suck it up and play the players he has available for those positions. It’s counter productive moving midfield players into defence as we then end up weaker in multiple positions.
  19. Poor sod. Hopefully his rehab goes smoothly. There has been some medical papers produced which show particular genes are linked with injury occurrence. You can’t fix these genes but training could be adapted to specifically strengthen and support susceptible areas like ankles and knees.
  20. I’ve got to be honest I didn’t realise that was 10 years ago! Some of those mind numbing reels on facebook really do stick in your head!
  21. Weird he hasn’t thought about us upping our pace, using the width of the pitch and playing as a cohesive unit. The players also used to put a shift in with the mileage they covered in a game. I haven’t looked at the stats recently but I’d guess we’re way down on the distance we used to cover.
  22. He’s really not doing himself any favours coming out with that kind of nonsense. Who’s he going to blame our performances on next, the canteen ladies?
  23. Yes my mate is a big Bayern fan (goes to the games etc) and he mentioned some of the stuff that went on. Nagelsmann is certainly a talent but maybe too clever for his own good at times.
