    I really am starting to think that someone internal at the club is trying to f*** us up. All this is beyond stupid if they think swapping Gakpo for Sarr is a good trade

    I noticed that too about him only mentioning wide players. The hope is he’s not blind and can see the abomination in the middle of our midfield. Then there’s the full back situation too.

    Yet he’s probably been our best midfielder so far today. The midfield is awful

    Shame we never went for Stiller at Stuttgart. Probably couldn’t afford him now but he’d fix most of the glaring issues we have in our centre midfield. Think he had a release clause but it ran out in July

    Not sure he’s really got the outright speed to get past defenders on the right. He’s better suited on the left as he has quick feet so can cut in and out to get past players. Early days yet but pinging crosses in doesn’t seem to be a strong point either which again negates him being on the right.

    Wirtz also played loads of balls through for players to run onto in Germany as well. If everyone around him is static there is no 1-2 or attacking pass to make

    I was surprised we were so static at times today. We had the ball in the final 3rd a few times and our players just stood there. Wirtz and Isak were utter garbage but if we’re expecting more from them then I think it’s not unreasonable that the other players should put in a shift and move into space to play to their strengths.
