Bizarre how we were so hell bent spending a fortune on signing a brittle player then also not playing to his strengths when he is occasionally fit.

That’s what we miss. We used to swarm the ball / opposition players to retrieve the ball quickly and go on the attack. Now we’re lacking the numbers and urgency so we end up on the back foot when the opposition play the ball forward through us.

One move I remember against Brentford was Kerkez going forward but after passing to Gakpo he just ran central where everyone else was rather than staying wide. Don’t think Gakpo bothered looking for him much after that.

Think we need to revert to what we were good at, pressing and breaking quickly. Slot seems hell bent on us playing this slow controlled football but his approach is either flawed or we just don’t have the right players for it - or they don’t understand what they’re meant to be doing. Repeating the same thing game after game is not fixing the issues we have on the pitch.
